Since there's no street lights around, it's the perfect place to watch the Aurora and enjoy a relaxing private getaway in the Arctic. We live next door with our 5-year old son and cat. We are at work from 8:00 are at home from about 4:30pm and on weekends. Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Beautiful modern cottage with a spectacular view from the livingroom. Very good location to see the lights from the window or the garden, as you can see in the pictures. Sometimes even the northern lights guides stops by our cabin because it a good place to se the lights. The drive from the airport is 22 km. Nice place, unique nature and northern lights

Large apartment with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, good standard. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. It includes linens, towels, various soaps and possibility to wash clothes. The place is perfect for northern lights watching and nature experiences with proximity to the Lyngen alps. The site is located directly below the northern light belt with little light pollution, 50 minutes from Tromsø. It is recommended to rent a car and we offer a discount deal at Hertz.

Rakkebu, 25 km from Tromsø city

Only 23 km from the airport in Tromsø. Built in 2007. Perfect conditions for watching aurora borealis because you are well away from the lights of the city. Many aurora guids bring guests to this area. If you are very lucky you can also watch killer whales (orcas) from the beach just below the cottage.

The apartment is situated waterfront, southwest on the island of Tromsø. 5 min by car to airport and city centre. Busstop just 50/100m away. Near total darkness over the water during winter makes for perfect conditions when watching the mythical northern lights!
