Vacation rentals with breakfast in Tromsøya

Merete was a very kind and friendly host. The home was a perfect, quiet getaway for people looking for a peaceful stay and I recommend the place a lot! Thank you for a great stay Merete :)

Sissel’s a friendly, kind-hearted, helpful and generous host. She gave us a lot of support during our stay in Tromsø. She helped us to explore the city and with her help, we were able to witness the beautiful aurora. We also hiked in the mountains, that was amazing to walk on the snow path. Her house is sooooo clean and I like the decorations very much. She’s got a lovely cat called Lion which is also friendly and lovely. Please choose her house in Tromsø, you’ll be deeply moved by her nice house and never regret.

We had a great time in Tromso, we love the house. The house is spacious and was comfortable for the 8 of us. There are 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower/bathtub, so it requires a bit of organization. The beds are very comfortable, we slept like babies. The is a great location, overlooking a fjord, and walking distance to a bus stop to go to Tromso (20 minutes bus ride). The supermarket is also walking distance, and open until 23:00 every day. The lighting system is a bit strange and needs practice to understand how it works 😉. Overall, the house is clean although for that price there is room for improvement.

Jonathan was a VERY accommodating host - with his time, his kitchen, coffee and cups, his help on local items, his cheerful stories - everything we asked for. The apartment is immaculate, he was generous with letting us use his facilities to cook meals there. They are on the third floor (which is one reason the view is so amazing), I would just recommend being prepared to take your luggage up one or two flights of stairs, depending on whether you come via the bus stop which has a path down and then steps down to the second floor, or if you take a cab to the address, you'll have two flights of steps to carry luggage up. To take the bus from the airport, download Svipper app, and you can pay for a 1 1/2 hour single ticket. Go down to the parking garage, walk completely across it to the street, and there is a bus stop there. The 26 bus takes you 1/2 mile from his apt, or xfer at the bus terminal, 1 stop from the airport, to the 28 bus, getting off at Reine Skole.

Had a fantastic stay. Lovely and warm host, beautiful and atmospheric house and garden. Great location, beautiful views and close to the stone age rock carvings. The breakfast served was tasty and cozy too 😁. would have loved to stay for longer and hope to visit again. can warmly recommend.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit in Ingrids Haus verbracht und uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr wohnlich und gemütlich eingerichtet und liegt an einer super Lage in Tromsø. Ingrid war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns viele gute Tipps über die Gegend gegeben. Die Ausstattung ist wie beschrieben, es ist alles da, was man sich wünscht. Herzlichen Dank, Ingrid, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

By renting the little cabin, Marianne and George open the door to their little paradise. In their place you will feel love, real nature and one of the most beautiful landscape ever, even the drive to and from Tromso is breathtaking. For people seeking a true experience in nature this is the perfect place. The cabin is remote, a step back in time, no mod cons and this is it’s beauty. A cosy, warm little haven in the beautiful wild. It is well thought out - all the instructions given by Marianne and George, and noted around the cabin ensure your stay is seamless and answers all the questions you might have - it is important to listen to them, especially as you are in the middle of the wild, responsible for your own warmth and staying in someone’s home. You are stepping back in time, at one with nature. This is a magical place. Marianne and George are kind and welcoming people. In the middle of an area flooded with guides and tourists and impersonal experiences they are a true find. Passionate about nature and the aurora, experts in the region (Marianne is a local). If you’re looking for other experiences whilst staying in the area - they are the perfect people to ask (especially aurora hunting). Going to the cabin is a truly unique experience. We are leaving with stars in our eyes and will definitely return.

Aptly named “The View,” this is a delightful place with spectacular panoramic view overlooking Tromso city center, across the water, including the Arctic Cathedral, and up onto Tromsdalen. I could have sat staring out the windows for hours. We walked (two of us ran) the surrounding snow palace. We enjoyed trolls, the top of Tromsdalen, nearby islands, local cuisine, and exploring the city center and trails. Through it all, our hosts were wonderful - patiently and expertly helping with all manner of questions. A terrific, memorable travel experience. Will definitely seek out The View again when our travels bring us back to Tromso.
