Great views and a quiet area where you can enjoy idyllic mountains and natural surroundings. The Northern Lights season is from September to April. If the weather is clear, it will dance in the sky directly from the living room window. Many unique destinations on foot and by boat that the host can inform about if needed and have maps available in the house.

The beds will be made upon arrival. Large and small towels will be available. The apartment has a washer/dryer freely available for guests. Outside the apartment there are amazing places where you can see the northern lights, in addition you can see it from your very own balcony. The apartment is warm and comfortable, with first row views of the ocean, mountain lift and Tromsø bridge. Good bus connections and grocery stores nearby. The kitchen has what you need to prepare and enjoy meals at home. Beds and towels made up. Two wardrobes. Here you can relax and at the same time enjoy the view of the scenery, when you are not out exploring exciting Arctic Tromsø.

Spot reindeer, otters, moose, or even whales, and watch the Northern Lights from the porch. Steps away, enjoy a panoramic sauna by the water. A traditional BBQ hut is available as an optional rental. This is our beloved home, and many guests tell us they fall in love with it too. Few places blend comfort and wilderness like this. We never tire of it—and hope you will, too.

Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The perfect match for a couple, but will also function very well for up to four persons. It is renovated to a modern standard in 2018, with focus on maintaining the heart and soul of the old building.

Du kan ta på deg skiene og gå rett ut bak huset og opp i ferdi preparerte skiløyper som også er belyste- eller gå opp fjellene for randonee etc. Denne villaen har egen takterrasse med fantastisk utsikt. Do you want to stay in a beautiful remote place, while still connected to the city? Grøtfjord is located just a 40 min. drive from Tromsø. Close to some of the areas most amazing mountains, fjords, ski and climbing areas. a. Big appartment with 1 bedroom that holds a king size bed and one bunk bed. There is a fold out sleeping couch in the living room. All facilites, towels to firewood are included! A car is needed to get to grøtfjord. The hosts live in a different section of the house.
