Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

Tucked away on a peaceful lane with breathtaking lake views, it’s the perfect retreat for 4 people, and pets are welcome too! Just a short stroll to cosy pubs for great food and drinks, all dog friendly. We offer part-week stays Nov–March (Fri–Mon or Mon–Fri), with Friday check-in's only from March–Nov. Next to pretty Torver beck, with frontage to the quiet western shore of Coniston Water, it’s the perfect place for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ break. Wren is beautifully refurbished but retains lots of character. Surrounded by fantastic scenery you don't need to go far to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.
