The apartment is in a great location within a minutes walk of a well stocked local shop and two minutes from a friendly pub. The views from the property are lovely and it’s a great place to sit and relax. It had everything we needed for a long weekend. It is compact as is explained in the property description, but the joy of the area is being out by the river and the stunning coast.

Heron’s Reach is an absolute gem! So comfortable and relaxing that our 2 nights away felt like a week! Would definitely recommend - ideal for taking it easy in Budleigh Salterton or exploring further afield.

Our stay at this cottage was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated. Each room feels cozy and inviting, creating a perfect home-away-from-home atmosphere. The surroundings are breathtaking & is the ideal spot for relaxation and escape. What really stood out was how well-equipped the cottage was. The hosts had genuinely thought of everything – from kitchen essentials to little extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. It felt like no detail was overlooked, and everything we needed (and more) was right at our fingertips. The recommendations provided by the hosts were spot on. From local restaurants to scenic spots. We will definitely be visiting again.

Great place to stay. Quiet area but walkable distance to town and beach and well situated for exploring the surrounding area. Apartment modern, well equipped and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Great smart TV - Disney plus a bonus! Information provided about local area was really useful. Highly recommended.

Beautiful accommodation, very tastefully furnished and comfortable. Village location was great with walks and pubs in easy reach. Only downside for us was nowhere really to let the dogs out of the door, had to walk them to the meadow.

We had a fantastic break at The Annex in Frogmore. It was equipped with everything we needed for our 3 night stay and the home was beautifully clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the estuary and walking across to the pub opposite in the evenings.

Had an absolutely amazing stay and Susan was informative and made the whole experience as relaxing as possible. Amazing views at the location and the hot tub made it even better. Cannot fault a single thing with this location and we will definitely be booking again! Would definitely recommend to others.

My recent stay at down mead studio was absolutely wonderful. The style was modern yet cozy, with thoughtful design touches that made it feel immediately welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean, which made the experience even more relaxing. One of the standout features was the kitchen, it was incredibly well equipped with everything I needed, from quality cookware to all the little extras you don’t always find, like a garlic crusher and sharp knives. It made staying in and cooking a real pleasure. The studio is set in truly beautiful surroundings, with stunning views right outside the window. It was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed for a restful getaway. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the scenery or just soaking in the calm from your room, it’s the perfect escape from the busyness of everyday life. I would definitely recommend down mead to anyone looking for comfort, tranquility, and a home-away-from-home feel.

Absolutely lovely home , very responsive to messages, had an issue with the electrical gate it’s no one’s fault but they acted and responded so quickly. The only issue I had was with the pool not being open even though it’s listed in the title “ villa with pool “ and I searched air BnB using the great pool section . I was gutted because it did state in the more about section that the pool wasn’t open until may , I trusted that using the search with great pool would be enough but unfortunately It wasn’t, I did feel this was wrong listing a property with a pool and in the title but hiding the fact it wasn’t open in the click more section, this definitely needs changing.

Lovely accomodation and location. The hot tub was great 👍🏼 as was the recommendation for a walk to the local Agi Inn pub. Very friendly cats 🐈 that paid us and our toddler son a visit each day he loved them! Henry the horse was a hit too - thanks again

Such a beautiful cottage, both inside and out. High end finish with everything you could need. Lovely warm welcome from Kim and Simon. Also must be the best directions we’ve ever had! The cottage is lovely and warm, quality bedding, comfy sofas, great bathroom, gorgeous kitchen. It was absolutely immaculate and we loved the welcome pack. Even treats for the dogs! Also useful things like hand wash, hand towels at all sinks, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponge and cloth, little things that actually make a lot of difference. Gorgeous, safe, fenced off garden. There is even a field to walk the dogs with mowed pathways. We also enjoyed the walk down through the fields and lane into Dolton where we had a nice meal at The Rams Head. Had another nice meal at The Kings Arms in nearby Winkleigh (10 min drive). Great location within easy reach of all the lovely North Devon beaches. Huge bonus for us were the EV chargers they had which we could use. Fabulous cottage, highly recommend to all!

A beautiful stay in a beautiful setting with a little stream at the foot of the garden. Easter weekend break with 2 kids, perfect getaway for the surrounding attractions (we seen the Otters in Buckfastleigh and Pennywell Farm.) Poppy went above and beyond to help with a forgotten cable issue which prevented a teenage meltdown 😂 Overall A++ and would definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you for a memorable weekend ❤️

Maxine is a great host with a charming place to stay. It was a great find and perfect for our needs. Spacious with everything we needed for us and our dogs, Maxine had thought of everything. We can’t wait to go back and highly recommend to anyone else.

My favourite place to stay when visiting Exeter with mum! Beautiful inside, private and quiet garden to enjoy the good weather. The house is immaculate and has everything you need, well equipped kitchen -my daughter made a delicious meal for 4! There are 2 very comfortable double beds and pristine bathroom. Only 10 mins walk into Exeter city!

Had a fantastic stay at the villa between christmas and new year. The villa has such space and full of character. It was presented perfectly clean and with everything you could ever need. The owner was very helpful and really easy to communicate with. The villa is well placed for exploring south Devon. Would definately like to stay here again

Thanks for having us, was a lovely stay. Anchors Away is a great space that is beautifully done, spotlessly clean and with quality finishes/equipment. Lovely having the outdoor area. Great spot for Torquay and Paignton. And loved the fudge - a really nice touch and treat!

Fantastic location with even better pub. Walking is spectacular with so many coves to choose from which most r dog friendly. Property was lovely and everything there u needed. Bonnie was on hand with any problems. Would highly recommend. Daz,Rach and Lottie

The place is close to the port either you want to walk or drive also if you want to have a nice view over the port from above you can walk 5 minutes from property. Very nice and quiet place.

This was a lovely apartment. Super clean and comfortable and in an ideal position . The view of the sea from the balcony was really beautiful,even better than it looked in the photos. Communication was excellent. Milk and cream tea super appreciated on our arrival . Very handy for the train station too :)

We had a lovely time, the flat was very well laid out with everything you need and spotless. It was in a perfect location so you could walk to the beach and geo park. There are lots of places to eat nearby but just as easy to cook in the flat.

Just back from a short stay at The Burrow This place is beautiful, spotlessly clean with everything you need - even breakfast supplies. Chloe was very welcoming and helped us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The view is just stunning and it was lovely to sit on the patio listening to the birds in the morning. We won’t hesitate recommending The Burrow to friends and family - and will certainly be back! Thank you Chloe

A lovely property finished to a very high standard, beautiful furnishings with good parking and is in an excellent location for walkers. The personal touches on our arrival were a welcome surprise! The walks both around the coast and into Dartmouth itself are lovely, the ferry is quick an convenient with restaurants and pubs all in close proximity within the town. Couldn't fault anything - really enjoyed the stay and will go back on our next visit to South Devon.
