Piper's Hut - modern apartment, central Portree

MichaelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
An absolute 10/10 stay at Pipers Hut! Our host, Alan, went above and beyond to ensure our stay on Skye was perfect. We were welcomed with a stocked kitchen with great coffee and lots of treats, and a clean and inviting space to relax after long days out exploring. Alan went above and beyond with recommendations of local landmarks and places to dine, and was enthusiastic about sharing his wealth of knowledge of the area. We will definitely stay here again if we ever have the pleasure of visiting Skye again, and I can’t thank Alan enough for the hospitality! 5 Stars all around!!

A perfect home! We stayed for 4 nights and were delighted! Things we loved: -a truly perfect location. Easy to walk to Portree but none of the stress of parking there! -loved the bed!! So comfy and the bedroom stayed the right temperature the whole trip. -the on-demand shower was great! -the whole property was amazing!! The gardens are stunning and even walking down to the street was so enjoyable! If we’re ever lucky enough to come back, we’ll definitely be staying here!

Penny Cottage - central and garden - 3 Bedrooms

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely, peaceful and nostalgic stay at Penny Cottage. The home reminded me of my grandmother's home on the east coast where I grew up. Everything was spick and span, with plenty of clean towels and linens. The beds were comfy. The cottage has a wood burning stove but we did not need it in June. There are also electric heaters in each room. There's a washer/dryer in the kitchen. The cottage is close to the center of Portree, just a short downhill walk to shops and pubs. Penny cottage is the perfect base for your Skye vacation!

This was the highlight of our long trip and met all the high hopes we had. Peaceful surroundings in space which perfectly links the interior comfort and warmth with the panoramic wildness viewed from the lounge and bedroom. Far from the crowds with beautiful drives and walks

Shepherd's Hut with views of the Old Man of Storr

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a lovely stay in the hut! It was the perfect place for us to stay for the two days that we were exploring Isle of Skye. It was located near hikes that we were doing and had the right amount of space for the two of us to make some easy dinners and enjoy some down time. Great view from the deck and loved seeing the sheep graze! Highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy, low key lodging experience.

Heatherfield house self catering cabin The Shack

AlexisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Shack is a very comfortable, well appointed abode in a beautiful quiet area close to Portree. Views from the bedroom are beautiful; looking over Loch Portree toward Old Man of Storr. Barbara had placed two comfy chairs in the bedroom from which one can enjoy the view. The listing does indicate a freezer but the fridge doesn’t have a freezer. If you’re there more than a couple of nights you need to pack dishwashing tabs, teabags etc as supplies seem designed for one or two days only. Cake in arrival was a nice touch.

Walter's Pod

CoralieRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We absolutely loved our stay at the Walter's Pod. We were sad to leave, it felt at home and the location was super convenient. There are so many activities to do around and the cute little "downtown" of Portree is at walking distance. Susanne and Sonja were proactive in giving us instructions on how to get there, park the car and how to check out which is always reassuring when you have it in advance. 100% would recommend this stay, comfy, well located and quiet place.
