Topton vacation rentals

It was really easy to find due to the directions that were given to us before arrival. There was a book on the counter with places people enjoyed going, take out menus, and reviews of local attractions. The space was clean and had everything we needed. It wasn’t as private as some of the others we’ve stayed in but it was a nice area.

Very clean and comfortable when we first arrived. Check in was easy and directions were great. We will visit again as our friends are right up the mountain from their place. We enjoyed it! Thank you!

This is just a lovely place up on a mountain! Even if you don't have an SUV or AWD, don't let the driveway scare you. Our Miata NC made it up multiple times with no problems. Take the advice of the cabin owner and go slow in low gear. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious. It is a peaceful, quiet and scenic spot. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch rockers and relaxing. You will be away from the action/hubbub of Fontana Village and Bryson City, but can get to either in 30-40 minutes. This was much better for us than renting several hotel rooms. The kitchen has everything you need. The hot tub area was nice, too. Owner communicates well and quickly. Thanks, Christina!

Accurate photographs of the room and surroundings. Perfect directions to find the location. I just wish there was an extra blanket. I have no other complaints about this listing and I would stay again.

This is my second stay at Michelle's cabin and it's always a great experience. The view is beautiful and the amenities are perfect 👌🏻. Highly recommended!

The pictures don't do this place justice. It's been remodeled very nicely, and the views are amazing! It's evident that the owner travels and knows what is needed in a vacation rental. Our family was very comfortable for 4 nights. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook every day. As someone from "flat Florida" the part I enjoyed the least was the "adventurous" drive to the house. It may be no big deal for others, but I found it to be stressful. The drive is narrow, steep and turns to gravel about halfway up. We made it perfectly fine in an Infiniti SUV, but I wouldn't recommend arriving after dark, at least for the first night. Thankfully our stay was flexible, and we were able to come and go during the daylight hours which made me feel much more comfortable. No worries though, the stress from the drive quickly melted away once I took in the views from the porch/living area/MBR and I would stay here again. Went for mini vacation for spring break with wife and our aussiedoodle from April 6 - 9, 2025. Found the cute cabin, we drove past it and when we came back we found it. As soon as we went in, loved the ambiance, the simplicity of the layout, very easy check in and it had all the amenities. What we loved best is listening to the river water flow as soon as we get up and when we go to sleep. Ample place for our dog to run. Saw a number of ground hogs ( I think ) Loved the porch with rocking chairs and also LOVED the hot tub. But what we loved was sitting by the river. The bathrooms were big, very clean. The beds were ok comfy. Creeks a lot :-) . But I have to say kudos to host Tina & GSCR for being very responsive for all our needs. We are sure to come back to this beautiful cabin. Thank you for hosting us.

We enjoyed our time a Sam's place. It is a beautiful cabin. Sam was very responsive and showed concern when I let him know we had a medical emergency with my dad (thank you Sam) and when I reached out to him late at night. Upon arrival the front door was left wide open and it was scary. I sent a message and he responded immediately. The cleaning lady left it open by mistake. That was the only thing I had a problem with. Mistakes happen! Other then that, we enjoyed ourselves and we'll be back!!!

All we (my wife) really wanted was a beautiful view, and this had it! She couldn't wait until it was light in the morning so she could look out the window or sit on the porch appreciating the view. The screened-in porch was one of the best parts: relaxing with a beautiful view. It was chilly while we were there, but we spent a lot of time out there. Still, the chilly weather also allowed us to use the fireplace. The house was spacious and well-maintained. If you plan to make meals there, we used the kitchen a lot, and everything in that space was great. It was so nice, and we have already recommended it to others.

It is such a beautiful home and very secluded. We had an amazing week staying there and hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains. The home had a great sound system and hot tub which really put it over the top. The no WiFi made you really disconnect from everything and enjoy the views. Overall a great place to just relax and enjoy nature.

My husband and I had a beautiful stay here. Loved everything about it, especially the view. Our stay felt amazing. Communication with our host was top 10. We would definitely stay here again.

This was the perfect getaway!! Had a little difficulty finding it, just a little sightseeing tour around the mountain 😃 but all was good once we arrived. Had a wonderful stay. A beautiful cabin with great views, very clean with amenities and is decorated perfectly. We felt right at home. Location was close to everything we were looking for. And the hot tub was spot on perfect for a relaxing evening. We will be back to visit for sure. Thank You so much.

We had an unfortunate issue with the water not running in our original cabin because of the cold weather a few days before our arrival. The freezing cold weather affected a lot of different people in the area. The issue could not be fixed in time but Robin was able to get me and my family into an another cabin with running water. He was very responsive and kind to keep us updated on the progress of fixing the original cabin. The new cabin we stayed in was beautiful, clean, and had amazing views (Hawks view) . The hill to get to the cabin was steep. During our stay it was very cold and we had light snow. One night we barely could make it up the hill to the cabin because of the snow and ice on the road. None of our cars had 4-wheel drive. So I would recommend 4-wheel drive if you are going during cold weather so you don’t encounter the problem we had. Also the hot tub was very clean and nice. I would definitely recommend staying again!

We needed a place for our blended family to finally meet and have time together. One of the bedrooms had bunks which became the kids room. They loved it. They also loved the game room, playground and bathing in the heart shaped jacuzzi. The view is amazing, overlooking a pond with the mountains in the background. We had groups playing golf and tennis. It was too cold for the pool but I’m sure the kids would have been there if it was warm. There is a beautiful waterfall closer than I thought. There was plenty of room for everyone to dine and just be together. It is definitely a place we will keep in mind for future gatherings.

Even though we had to leave early for a wildfire, our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed the area. The kids had a blast and i will come again!!

The cabin was beautiful. The area was very nice for walking, everything was great. We were very satisfied and happy with our stay at the cabin.
