Vacation rentals with lake access in Tohmajärvi

A kind, spacious house away from the hustle and bustle on the shore of the lake. 2 saunas (one in the house, one on the shore, but quite untidy). Luxurious view from the windows, nice patio/terrace, large and well-maintained area nearby. A great place to connect with nature, the nearest supermarket is about 10 km away. Of the disadvantages, water from the tap is unacceptable for drinking water from the tap (only with you!), due to the increased iron content, all plumbing looks extremely untidy. More than a meager BBQ area - 2 dirty chairs and a barbecue are very old, tiny and killed by life (there is also gas from the hosts, but without gas), and clearly brought by tourists. There are logs, but there is no axe. There are no less, the hosts are very pleasant and friendly people, and if you take into account all the disadvantages and prepare for them in advance, you will have a wonderful time. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful property, and I can't say enough good things about it! The highlight of our stay was definitely the cute sauna house, which provided a perfect way to relax and unwind. The private entrance to the lake was another fantastic feature, offering serene and beautiful views right at our doorstep and a memorable experience of swimming in the lake after the Sauna. The host was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our needs, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The entire experience was smooth and enjoyable.

quiet place are 3 cottages a few tens of meters from each other in a secluded area with access to the small but fishy lake surrounded by woods. near the magnificent punkaharju esker and comfortable (about 1h by car) from parks such as kolovesi and linnansaari. about 1 hour from laappenranta airport. Valentin, the manager is very kind and helpful. Recommended.

The villa and the surroundings are very beautiful. We much enjoyed our stay in the villa and the peacefulness and beauty of the whole area. If you have a chance to stay in this place, don’t hesitate. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Pure relaxation, quiet place, but also suitable for remote work. Host Jari and his wife are super friendly and nice and make an effort to make sure you have a nice holiday. Everything you need is available in the accommodation, good shopping is available within a radius of about 10 km. The lake invites you to swim and the sunsets are breathtaking. We were a group of 5 people and had a very pleasant stay in Elena’s cottage. The kitchen was well equipped. The house is specious and view on the lake is great. Elena was super helpful and easy to reach.

The host couple was absolutely delightful and I felt very welcome :) We got good instructions when we arrived and found all the necessary information and instructions in the apartment. In addition, a special thank you for the well-organized recycling opportunity. The apartment was charming, and even though we were on a summer trip so in mind, the place would definitely be lovely even in the winter! Warm recommendation!

Great week-end spent in this appartment. We came to see biathlon in Kontiolahti, 20min from it. We had all we needed during our stay, a great place to spend few days !

Beautiful, clean apartment, a few minutes walk to the stunning scenery of the lake. Responses from hosts were right away. Peaceful location, conveniently located between Joensuu and Koli. The Karelian pies baked in the morning were a luxury! Warm recommendations to others!

Nice, new and tidy cottage, sauna had amazing views of the lake. The cottage was shared with us and other guests when we visited. The intermediate door was very isolating the sounds and the voices of the guests were not disturbing. The cottage has a shared sauna space with the neighbor's apartment. Collaboration with the cottage owners went smoothly and effortlessly.

We were really happy with the week's stay in Joensuu Rantakatu's apartment, which was clean, modern, centrally located, and had all the necessary kitchen items, for example. The apartment was nice and warm even in the freezing cold and the sauna was a great extra. Milon was a very good communicator and responded quickly and kindly to messages. We'd love to come back and recommend!

Very good accommodation, especially with dogs. The agreed upon things kept, communication worked, and the surroundings were peaceful, but still everything you need nearby. Highly recommend!

The surrounding environment was very nice and calm. Water clean, transparent. Local water is specific and challenging for fishing. The beach in front of the cottage with shallow water even with a stone pier, offered a nice view of the surrounding water. The host also made available to us two boats. There is a wood heated sauna in front of the beach. It was a bit older but functional. Another smaller sauna is located inside the cabin along with a shower. We lacked a better light in the cabin. In the evenings, it was too big for our taste. Otherwise, we are happy with the amenities of the cottage and enjoyed the trip.

A fantastic stay in this tranquil Mökki with lots of activities and a perfect family setup. Highly recommended and Tuomas is a superb host!

The posting is very accurate: a peaceful cottage in the woods with lake access. There are XC trails nearby that can be walked. The place is remote, but not far from a bus station if needed. Host provided potable water and there were plenty of heat sources to stay warm. A lovely and affordable retreat for anyone looking to escape into nature.
