In a quiet corner of a tree-lined field close to our own private fishing lake called Venton Trout Lakes, Our woodsman's hut will give you the chance to get away from it all. We are also only a 20 minute (uphill) walk to Dartington Hall. Beaches 20 minutes drive away, Dartmoor national park 20 minute drive.

Having undertaken a major modernisation the cottage retains many historical features . Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms there is a large kitchen diner , sitting room with log burner , bathroom with bath and separate shower and a downstairs cloakroom . The enclosed small garden to the rear offers lovely views and the opportunity to star gaze at night . We allow flexible check in and check out times if there are no bookings either side. One dog is welcome for a booking fee of £60.

Half way in between the Sea and the Moors, Bidwell Lodge offers a tranquil retreat. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor has a Kingsize bed. The Cabin is self-contained and is situated in our back garden with direct, private access down a path alongside our property. Please Note, there are a few steps from our garden down to the cabin. The Cabin is a 15 minute walk to the vibrant and independent town centre of Totnes, and 20 minute walk to the train station. There are many beautiful walks very close by including Follaton House and gardens directly over the road.
