Family-friendly vacation rentals in Thiérache

The house was exactly what we hoped for. Peaceful in the countryside yet close to the city to see the sights. We had a bit of a snafu upon check-in but Julie was quick to find a solution that worked well for our family. I wish we had an opportunity to have a champagne tasting but the timing never worked out. However, Julie provided a bottle that was divine... Thanks, Julie!

We had a super good stay at Jean-Michel's, everything was thought of. Nothing was too much, Jean-Michel even helped free our car from lime that we had gotten on the car during our trip. There was also a ball and toy for the dog. For our baby, a swimming band, chair, bed and bath. Of course, also enjoyed the pool. Highly recommended.

Thanks again to Willy, who was kind, welcoming, helpful and flexible with our group. The house is sublime, functional and warm, and all the services are beyond what we expected. We all agreed that the house was better in real life than in the photos! Amazing stay!

A home that is worth visiting if you want a quiet retreat. It is located close to a supermarket (100 meters), which allows you to walk there. The veranda with the jacuzzi is a real plus for its calm and its view of the countryside. The amenities and accommodation are clean and of good quality. We didn't miss a thing. No complaints, we had a great time :)

Had a lovely weekend with the family. The house is very spacious and well-equipped for both children and adults... everyone found their place, their space. Everything is available both outside and in the house. Very good hosting. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the nice house that was equipped with all comforts with our family. It is truly a family home. The huge plus is the beautiful large garden and the beautiful view of the Seine! We used the canoes and sub boards. The train station is within walking distance and very cheap to travel to Paris. Thank you for your hospitality and we would love to come back again Esther!

We had a great weekend at Christelle's place. The sauna and hot tub were much appreciated. The 3 bedrooms are comfortable with their private bathroom. Christelle was a nice host who showed us the walks and places to visit in the area. We'll be happy to go back!

We were warmly welcomed by Stephane's mom. Stephane came to greet us a little later. In the house is everything you need. The beds are very comfortable and the view is fantastic. Stephane is a great and very nice host. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely come back.

My fave place to stay in Lille! Well appointed and spacious. Be prepared for lots of stairs leading to apartment and then a steep narrow stairwell inside going up to bedrooms. I’m not in best shape but was still ok for me so just a consideration for mobility impaired. This was my second time staying here and already booking for next trip!

We had a lovely stay at the house. Perfect for families. It’s quiet and remote. If you have a car there is plenty to do that’s close by. The house is beautifully restored and had so many amazing spots to hang out or chill. Several fireplaces, indoor and outdoor dining spots, very comfortable. Would recommend!

We loved this place! It’s in a very walkable location and close to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. Even though it is in a rather busy area, it was quiet and peaceful. Having a/c was amazing. There was plenty of room for our large suitcases, as well as closet space to hang things up. We loved having a kitchen and a washer/dryer. The skeleton key for the door is unique, but it was tricky to use at times. The bathroom is also very small - the shower especially. The steps are narrow and there is a wonderful lift that takes you most of the way, but you will have to take suitcases up 15-20 steps, so keep that in mind when packing. The lift is also very small, so it took several trips to get our things to the apartment. Again, we were so thankful for the lift - taking our suitcases up the steps the entire way would have been terrible. We loved the charm of the apartment and we will definitely stay here again!

We booked the place for two nights with our dog. The garden is even more beautiful than in the photos, really great for relaxing! The complete fence was very convenient, so our dog could run freely. We loved getting up in the morning and being greeted by the sweet pony and sheep. The place is relatively small, but has a huge bed and everything you need. You stay in the garden all the time anyway. The area is very quiet, but 5 minutes' walk there is a great hiking trail and 15 minutes' walk is a delicious and cheap fries bar. Aldi and Lidl are also not far away and 10 minutes by car there is another large hiking trail (Spookwegelwandeling) with free parking. You can easily get to Bruges within 30 minutes by car. We would definitely come back!

It was great! I recommend it, the jacuzzi is great, the cottage too, the service for breakfast very good, nothing to say! I recommend it!

What a beautiful location! It is a unique and characteristic building, where we immediately felt very comfortable. It has a lovely garden with private swimming pool, that's just enjoying. Our daughter, just 1 year old, could learn to walk in the garden 🙂 The accommodation is in the small village of Roucy, from where you can drive up the champagne route and enter the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed it very much and would love to come back again. Thank you Régine!

A favorite for our stay at Raphaël's. The house is charming, accessible and very well located, comfortably furnished, very well-equipped. The instructions and information were very clear and the host was always responsive and attentive. Special mention for the peace and quiet and the view! An address that we treasure.

Had a super stay at Emilie & Karim's. Very nice garden for the kids and lovely terrace. Practical and convenient kitchen. Quick responses to questions and very friendly. We enjoyed our family weekend very much and would love to come back.

This beutiful apartment is in a little village outside the bigger village of Ypres. Perfect. Ann tells me that it's a lovely walk (I think she said about 45 min) to the village if you don't have a car - though I would recommend a car for exploring the area. The apartment is so cozy, clean and welcoming. And the bed is perfection. I just wish the weather would have cooperated and we would have been able to enjoy the shared garden. Though Ypres is much smaller than Brugge or Ghent - it's perfect. Great restaurants in the village square and a central location for all the drives to the WWI memorial sites. I highly recommend staying at Ann's apartment, it's a warm and comfortable space to start and end your long days of exploring.
