Cottage is 100 yards from mile-long sandy beach and Minaun Cliffs - among highest in Europe. The Toolis family have lived here for over 400 years. The deserted Dookinella stone village still stands in the field nextdoor. Keel village is a 5-minute drive with restaurants, local butcher selling Achill lamb and fisherman selling from boat. Surf school for all ages. Fabulous walks begin right at the door from easy to mountain hikes. Good for couples and families. Good WiFi. Wheelchair accessible.

Our beautiful home is a very peaceful and centrally-located place. 5 mins walk to the local pubs,places to eat plus all local amenities, shops supermarket,post office, take away,cafe,butchers etc. Stunning views from both the front and the back of the property(sea). Enjoy the breathtaking road down the island to one of the many beaches,the biggest being keel on 10 mins away by car. Keem at the end of the island is 15. Keel offers watersports,golf,canoeing plenty to keep the whole family busy.

Cosy, comfortable cottage, quiet area by the sea,overlooking saula peir. Breathtaking views of Curran mountains.There is a small town called Achill Sound approx 4km away,where there is shops, cafe, supermarkets, 2 pubs, 2 hotels and bike hire. There are other great places to eat approx 12-15km away. Our Cottage is close to the greenway where you can walk or cycle. There is fantastic views along the Atlantic drive from. Clough more to Dooega, where you can see the Atlantic ocean for miles.

If you’re looking for a rural relaxing break, then our cosy 1 bedroom cabin is perfect for you! Situated in Ballycroy on the Wild Atlantic Way, next to Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park with a view of the Nephin mountain range from the sofa and decking area. It’s only a 15 minute walk to the sea. We are also just a 15 minute drive to Mulranny, 25 minutes to Achill island and 40 minutes to Westport.

Amazing views, absolutely stunning house and superb hosts. What more could we ask for. Simply the best house we have ever stayed in. Crisp and clean, all mod cons, views to die for out of every window, private but yet close enough to Teds and Lynotts where we would walk most evenings for our dinner. Amazing responsive hosts who were available from beginning to end with their genuine Irish warmth and charm. We loved this break so much that we were upset the night before not wanting to leave the house - we shall be back again and will be booking for next year. Thank you thank you thank you.....

Lovely furnishings and interior that made for a great place as a base while enjoying Achill. David was a brilliant host, who sent clear details and instructions on the AirBnB in advance. A fantastic AirBnB within walking distance to two lovely beaches. It’s also an amazing spot to watch the sunset! Will be staying here again!

Nisa was lovely, made the check in so easy and delvered the turf the next say which was a lovely touch. I will keep this location in mind when im back in Achill.

"Barr an Uisce", Achill Sound, Achill, Co.Mayo

We spent five nights in Achill at Barr an Uisce. Achill itself is a beautiful place and it was amazing to have this stunning house as our base for our time there. The house has been exceptionally renovated and has everything you could possibly need. Each bedroom was clean and spacious, the bathrooms and kitchen spotless. The house has a ‘picture’ window and the views are stunning - a way to enjoy the ever-changing weather! Another added bonus is that Barr an Uisce is only a short walk from the island’s amenities at the Sound. We all enjoyed our visit and we know we will return! We were really looked after!
