Villa vacation rentals in Thar Desert

If you want to stay in the heart of the fort, this is a perfect place to stay. But bear in mind this is exactly what it says on the tin, something built hundreds of years ago! This means there won’t always be hot water and heating on demand. Things go wrong. But Pikoo is incredibly responsive and will do everything she can to sort it. We booked all five bedrooms and so there was a communal lounge for us and blankets for when it was cold (mid January!). The building is incredible and the views from the restaurant on the roof top are brilliant. The staff are lovely and Naveen can arrange desert tours and taxis as needed. Depending on which room you are in it can be very noisy with roof top parties elsewhere in to the small hours, so bring ear plugs! Pikoo also provided lovely Indian snacks each afternoon which were appreciated by all.

Raghav has been a great host. This is a very spacious villa, a place you can stay and spend time happily without even going out. It has all the listed amenities and we had no problems whatsoever. Even when we had any mini hiccups, Raghav was really responsive and had very helpful suggestions. We were really happy with everything provided and this was a steal deal. Had a great time with friends and family. Definitely recommend.

If you dream about experiencing eternal India this is for you. A wonderful warm welcome awaits you - delicious and healthy vegetarian food - including fascinating traditional Rajasthani dishes - and all this in a haven of peace and beauty. The haveli in classic design with it's large airy spaces, beautifully decorated with art and murals, together with such amazing hospitality and food, will make you feel like you stepped into the home of eternal India. The bedroom and private bathroom are impeccably clean, light and spacious - you wake in the morning to birdsong - and if lucky you might see peacocks strutting about in the gardens. The peaceful roof terrace is ideal for chilling with chai, meditating or reading a book from the hosts large and varied library. The few extra minutes spent getting in and out of town are so worth it for the privilege of being in this beautiful home-away-from-home.

Overall the place is good to stay - best thing is that this is on the outer side of the fort and the adjoining balcony/ terrace gives a complete view of Jaisalmer town. And that was the best part. The room, jharokha, balcony and courtyard will give you the feeling of this old fort and that was the highlight for me. Pikoo herself is quite responsive and helpful. What could have been better - Room could be provided with basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, etc.

Great stay, as i read some other review before booking so now motor is installed so no water pressure issues. stay is amazing with pet. stay is worth the price
