Terre Haute places to stay

My 5YO grandson and I had the best time at the Goat-el! We enjoyed feeding the horses, chickens, pigs, goats and even got to see one day old kittens and baby goats. Jack, the free roaming goat, was my favorite. He would run to us and has a huge, kind personality. There was plenty of local parks and we went to a different one each day. The local children’s museum was a huge hit too and is perfectly designed with several hands on activities. Katie, the host, was great and shared a lot of history of the farm and let my grandson dig in the dirt and experience warm just-laid eggs and the new baby goats squeals. Overall we had a fantastic, 4-night stay, and made memories that I will treasure for a lifetime.

My son and I stayed for two nights as he had a soccer tournament in Terre Haute. They have done a great job with this place. You would never believe it was a garage. It surprised me with how beautiful and cozy it was. It had a few quirks, but we enjoyed our stay, used the stove to cook dinner, and it was good for the money. Also, the hosts were very kind and helpful, and very quick at communication. One thing to note, while there is decent partial separation between areas, it is basically a well put together studio. This is just something to be aware of as it is hard to do something that requires light or sound once someone else is already asleep.

This is our second time staying here. The house is always very very clean, it’s quiet with comfortable beds, and close enough to walk to get food or to CVS if needed. Other amenities, such as Krogers grocery store or the town square are just a very short drive. We also loved going to Fern Cliff Nature preserve and DePauw Nature Preserve to walk through the woods.

Enjoyed my almost 3 week stay. Area was quiet, except for all the thunderstorms this spring, which was cool though and watching them from the covered porch was great. Shane was very responsive and made sure I had everything I needed. I would stay here again in the future!

Very peaceful and relaxing place. Perfect for traveling workers. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.

I found out I was going to have a weekend off after 4 months. I decided I needed to get away to sometime more peaceful. We had been to the area in the past to visit the Inidana State Sanatorium and my son wanted to go for another visit. I stumbled upon Andrea's place, and it was pet friendly. My first time bringing my pooches. Her property is beautiful and everything I was looking for. The home is spacious and clean. I loved the outside sitting areas. Good place to listen to nature, the small river and have a cup of coffee in the morning, or have a relaxing drink in the evening. There are a few paddle boats on the property. So much fun! And a swimming hole on the other side. Andrea is a lovely host, so friendly and happy to know you're enjoying yourself and the space she provides. I would definitely recommend her property and would love to visit again when I need some time away

This was out 2nd stay and again didn't disappoint. Very peaceful and private. Best place to be other than home.

This house was perfect for our girls’ weekend. Plenty of comfortable spaces to hang out both inside and outside. Comfy beds. Overall very peaceful, which is exactly what we needed!

Nice place close to everything. Quiet and cosy neighborhood. Very good choice in Terre Haute.
