All in all, the accommodation is clean and tidy, the location itself is quite decent, and Ibu Kurniatty will provide you with almost everything you need or need to know about Ternate/Greater Halmahera areas. Staying with Ibu Kurniatty is highly recommended and you won't be disappointed.

Ibu Aty is lovely and really helpful. She is able to assist you with quite a few things, like visa extension, recommending places to eat and also activities you can do on Ternate and in surrounding places. The accomodation itself is simple, fuss-free but has everything you need. Many activities are available nearby, like mountain climbing, snorkeling trips to nearby islands and trips around the island. Safety: Ibu Aty has a lot of cats at her place - so it might be a bonus (free cat cafe) or a turn-off☺️ Bring a pair of slippers to walk around the homestay too. Walkability: There are many eating places nearby. Food & drinks: Ibu Aty provides a simple breakfast with tea (and sugar). You can let her know your dietary preferences if any. Notable details: Cats! Great view of Mount Gamalama. This area is also quite safe, so no worries about walking around at night. Strongly recommend and would visit again ☺️
