Daniel’s place is a true Paradise. The cabin is comfortable and roomy enough for up-to 3-4 people and has thoughtful features like some snacks, a coffee machine and TV with streaming services. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so quiet and peaceful it was a true break from everything. The waterfront property is just across the road with access to lake, kayaks, hammocks, a fire pit and plenty of grills to bbq. You can sense the thoughtfulness Daniel has put into every little thing - the green areas, the fire pit and the covered pavilion. He is also the most gracious and responsive host ever. Will answer all your questions almost immediately. It’s well worth a visit and we will definitely return.

This is our second year and we love the place. It has everything we need for a family vacation. The home is beautiful with so many amenities. The outdoor seating is great for us to get together and talk, laugh and have fun. The access to the private lake is great and my kids/grandkids can swim and play in peace without big crowds. There is so much shade, table and chairs. The canoes and kayaks are the icing!!!!

The pictures do not describe the place, the beautiful cabin is on a valley secluded by hills, if you are looking for privacy and tranquility this is the place! The wrap around porch has the most beautiful views of Texas hill country. Pamela is an amazing host, thank you so much for your hospitality and can't wait ti come back!

This was one of the most peaceful weekend getaways we have ever had! The phenomenal views outside were only matched by our host’s outstanding hospitality. Highly recommend!

Before I get to pros and cons, I want to stress that we really loved the Hilltop Hideaway! It was cozy and beautifully decorated. It is cute and rustic, and includes numerous western style decor items (ex: vases, horseshoe inspired items, a deer head on the wall and some animal pelts and other rugs on the wood floor). Everything we could have needed and more was somewhere in the cabin. So please keep reading all of the way to the end - I know how much reviews help me decide where to stay, so I want to hit on the main points. Pros: Extra towels, sheets, soaps, were plentiful. The deck is huge and gorgeous! It includes a 2-3 person hot tub, a bar table and chairs for two, a pair of rocking chairs, and a bbq grill (we did not use the grill so I can’t speak to how it works). The deck was pretty perfect, spacious and private! The kitchen counters are marble or granite, the kitchen has a wide farm sink.
