The holiday home is a fantastic symbiosis of history and modernity! A several hundred year old house with romantic charm has been combined here with the amenities of today: underfloor heating, modern kitchen, dimmable light. Really great! In addition, the great location in the middle of the old town, very quiet and with a great park right outside the door. Everything was clean and super equipped. Even fresh tulips were at the table! In addition, Marina arranged a bike rental for us - a great service! We rarely had such a great vacation rental!

Super nice house and nice quiet location to relax and come down! We felt right at home and were totally impressed by the accommodation. Restaurants, grocery stores, bakers and a small beach bar in the vicinity and total idyll. Many beautiful hiking routes from the property even without a car. The house was super equipped and totally well coordinated. Every corner of the house invited you to relax. Felix and Holger were friendly, uncomplicated and quickly accessible. We definitely recommend it! Not unlikely that we will come again:)

We spent the Easter days in the beautiful house in Hörste and enjoyed it very much. There was enough space in the spacious house for three generations and we were even able to have breakfast together on the terrace in the sunshine. Thank you!

We felt very comfortable in this small but nice cottage! The welcome by Hermann was warm and he showed us everything important about the house. There is everything you could need for a successful stay. The cozy rooms are very lovingly decorated seasonally. For a starting point to explore the Münsterland, the cottage is highly recommended!

Nice house in a quiet location, ideal to get away from everyday life for a few days. Everything was in very good condition and as described/pictured and the communication was very pleasant.

We had a wonderful short stay in the cozy wooden house of Norbert and Rabea. The two are very friendly. Everything went smoothly, both in the previous communication and on site. We fully recommend the place. :)

We stayed in March 2025 for 3 nights in the suburbs and it was fantastic. Despite the "main road" location (it was less busy than some dead ends), it was quiet and idyllic. The neighbors were very friendly, the baker right around the corner and Lake Dümmer 10 min. by car. The furnishings are traditionally and quaintly selected to match the house. The two gardens were also a dream and we will miss them the most. Thank you for everything.

The kitchen was super equipped. Changing table, high chair and travel cot were available for the young children. The bunk bed is in the children's room and is less suitable for large adults. However, there are also houses with normal beds instead of the bunk beds, which we did not know before.

Thanks to the detailed information about the apartment and the check-in, we had a great stay and were able to fully enjoy our time. Our host answered all our questions very quickly. The description and photos match and we didn't miss anything. The location was great - just a few steps from the rehab and about 5-10 minutes' walk to downtown. We were even greeted at Christmas time with a chocolate Santa Claus. If we visit Bad Essen again, we will definitely choose this apartment again!

We were very pleased with our stay. The accommodation was very nice and modern. The kitchen was well equipped. You could make beautiful walks at Dümmer See.

We liked the resort. It was clean. The sauna was nice. 2 bathrooms. Good amenities. Would prefer all costs to be calculated up front. We loved our stay.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. The location not far from the lake is great! There was nothing missing. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend it.

What a wonderful weekend we had, Sina's parents, Erika and Helmut, are very welcoming, helpful and cozy. Reception with "kaffee und Kuchen", every day the cozy tile fireplace was lit for us, homemade liqueur, fresh eggs on arrival.... Accommodation is complete and clean. Hereditary Willi greets you kindly. Lovely garden to relax in. Surroundings are beautiful, varied forests and peat areas nearby, lots of wildlife and birds spotted, beautiful walks made with our dog. Recommended !!

We had a really great time here and will probably come back next year. The complete shelf is ideal for families.

We spent the holidays in Dissen and the apartment was great! Everything was perfectly maintained, superbly furnished and clean. Communication was also very good.

I was Kunterbunt with my 3 year old son for one night. It was a super nice experience, we all grilled together and made stick bread. A great place to stay for both kids and adults. You can either cuddle socializing and animals or enjoy nature and the beautiful tiny house. We felt so warmly welcomed, we will be happy to come back!

Great stopover during our travel from Germany to Netherlands. House was very comfortable and easy to check-in. Great coffee machine!

We had a great stay at Michael's "super cozy" place! The accommodation is furnished with a lot of love for detail, super equipped (kitchen, technology, light - everything great!) and simply invites you to feel good. Especially nice: the large terrace and the huge garden with barbecue! Despite the central location, you are completely undisturbed and have the whole cottage to yourself. Michael is a great host: helpful and responsive. I found the personal YouTube videos in advance very helpful and likeable. All in all, a really great place with character - we will be happy to come back!

Alfons and Pamela have created a wonderful place with their house in Mettingen, where you immediately feel comfortable. We spent Easter there with the extended family and it was just perfect: plenty of space, lovingly decorated and with a fantastic garden that invites you to linger. Even in the rain, it is wonderfully cozy inside, and there are many beautiful excursion destinations in the area – so there is no boredom. Alfons and Pamela gave us great tips that enriched our stay even more. Thank you for this relaxing time, the nice communication even in advance and the beautiful Easter in Mettingen. We can only warmly recommend it!

We felt very welcome and were greeted with fresh flowers and a welcome bag with snacks for our dog! Everything was very lovingly and comfortably furnished with good amenities in the kitchen. When we needed a hand mixer, she brought us one directly and was generally very accommodating. The only drawback is the bed. Unfortunately, the mattress or mattress topper is so soft that it feels like lying on marshmallows. This is certainly appealing to some but we slept quite badly and my partner avoided the sofa at night. Nevertheless, staying with Karin is an absolute recommendation for a nice stay in Münsterland. Extremely dog-friendly and plenty of opportunities for long, quiet walks.
