The Bothy is a self-contained and independent unit of Belinda and Hugh's lovely home, but has the same fantastic views of the lake and the mountains as their own sitting room. It has a small kitchen so you can be as independent as you wish, and a comfy lounge with "that" view! The main bedroom has a king bed, but there are two single beds and a small child-sized bed in a mezzanine loft (with pull-out ladder access) for the family, and a pull-out couch which makes into a comfy bed for one extra.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew and Jane’s place! The house is lovely, with a beautiful green setting and a fantastic garden where we enjoyed relaxing. The bed and couch were both large and very comfortable, making our stay extra enjoyable. Andrew and Jane were friendly and communicative hosts. The location was peaceful, and we loved listening to the birds in the garden. Overall, a great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and the house was very comfortable with all we needed. Very tastefully decorated with lots of lovely thoughtful touches...thank you Lu. Lovely view of the lake and yhe Acacia Bay location was serene. Would definitely recommend staying here.

My husband and I chose this place for the geothermal pool, it was the highlight of our stay and we used it 2 to 3 times each day we stayed there. really good value, typical kiwi bach from the 1970s. had everything you needed including a very well kitted out kitchen with a full size fridge freezer. the pictures accurately described the place. we loved the Woodburner. our dogs loved playing outside. great for big family trips as loads of space. thanks Jacqui 😀

The house is in a great location and the rooms are spacious enough. You can see Taupo Lake from the living room. The only minor drawback is that the towels provided in the bathroom are not clean enough. Some turn yellow, while others are covered in dust. But our family still likes it very much and we live happily.
