Janette' s place is great for visiting Auckland. Although we only stayed there for a couple of nights, I would definitely recommend it for longer stays: the kitchen is very well equipped, it is spacious and the bed was super comfortable. It is very close to Newmarket and we walked to CBD, but if that is not your thing, the inner link stop and train stop are very close. Janette was super flexible with the arrival hour and even let us check out late, we really appreciate that :). Would definitely stay here again.

Nestled on a tranquil and peaceful mountain, surrounded by rolling grassland, built on a cliff with a stunning sea view which is accessible after climbing up a grassy slope behind, this place needs you to step outside to enjoy nature. We had a great sleep in the small cozy room. Besides basic breakfast, the owner, Greg, also provided us with freshly baked bread, which goes perfectly with butter and jam. His cat is super meek and gentle. Unfortunately, it was rainy and hazy the next day - no chance to see the sunrise from the seaside. The tunnel beach is temporarily closed, a bit of a bummer. However, it can be an option for escaping from city buzz, especially when the weather is nice.

Such a great cosy spot in beautiful Ōkārito. We loved the outdoor bath under the stars and sitting outside on the deck. Really recommend hiring kayaks from next door too! We’d love to come back soon.

A nice little place about 5 km from Timaru, in a rural setting. Elvie is available if we needed her but didn’t see her that much. The unit is separate from the owners house. It is better in person than in the pictures. Excellent value for money :-) Thanks Elvie and Garry!
