House vacation rentals in Tarrafal

This is where you want to be! Pool large enough for short laps. The house is huge! Lucas' relatives are across the driveway and very helpful with issues. Expect some family activity, but other times completely quiet, and we had the pool to ourselves whenever we used it. Rental car needed.

Amazing. Very nice house, magnificent view, the pool is splendid and the private beach at the foot of the house is absolutely wonderful - 10 minutes' walk from the village beach - very friendly with its small bars - and 15 minutes from the sublime wild beach of Preta - the hospitality is very well managed - The team helped us get ferry tickets - an ideal place to rest in the sweetness of Maio Island.

Andrea's place is very well located as it is a few 100m to the nearest supermarket as well as to the city beach a good quarter of an hour walk. The house has been lovingly built, the garden very green. Under the tree you can relax wonderfully in the shade. The barbecue invites you to fry fish and vegetables in the evening. The communication with Andrea went smoothly, there were very good tips and an answer to all questions. Clear recommendation!

Very nice spacious villa, very responsive and available host, in a quiet residential area and accessible amenities, 10 minutes walk from the beach. Also, the air conditioning in each room, and the cozy outdoor area with very clean pool are very nice.

Kindly Bernard agreed to pick us up for free from our previous accommodation. He accommodated us in a larger, very nice house. Valerie and Bernard do everything to make our stay enjoyable: bike loan, informed advice, we really enjoyed the visit to her friend Raphaël Colicci who founded the Maioasis agroforestry farm:an extraordinary project to develop autonomous farms for social and solidarity purposes on the island of Maio.

Very beautiful and large house, very comfortable, with an amazing view, a peaceful terrace and nickel rooms. Close to the center, on foot. A big thank you to Mirtes, our host, edy, the driver and Vanusa, the cook who really took care of us. nothing to say. Thank you very much. Small downside for the extremely noisy water pump as soon as we use water. and for the pool that deserves a good maintenance. We recommend it.

Very nice accommodation, well located and very clean on the beautiful island of Maio. We arrived at 9am and were able to directly access the accommodation with transportation included from the port. The infinity pool is very well maintained and allows you to perfectly contemplate the sunset. Access to a private beach is also present and allows extreme tranquility.

We were so glad we chose Casa Aloé Vera for our stay in Santiago - it was the perfect place to explore the island from. We loved eating Vany's delicious breakfasts watching the local birds from the veranda in the morning - the kingfishers are beautiful! The cottage is in a great location, just a 15-20 minute walk to Cidade Velha where there are some good restaurants and the fantastic UNESCO sights to explore. Inside the house itself is really homely, with everything you'd need to make your stay comfortable. Sonia was very communicative and even helped us find a travel agent to help with internal flight before we'd even. We'd love to return one day to this little spot of paradise.

Paula's accommodation is as advertised, very well-equipped, a very pleasant terrace and 2 minutes from the beach. Paula is a very responsive and welcoming host, like all Cape Verdeans! Thank you for everything Paula!

We spent a week at Leandra's place and felt very comfortable. The apartment is cozy and comfortably furnished, the kitchen super equipped. We made ourselves comfortable especially in the small courtyard, which was perfect. You live very centrally, minimarkets across the street and around the corner, drinking water is sold next door, there is a good bakery and it's close to the beach. Communication with Leandra works smoothly, her mother helped us organize the return trip. Thanks, Leandra, for the wonderful time!

I don’t know where to start because I was completely taken back by how beautiful and spacious the place was. I don’t mean just beautiful in a way as though I’m surprised by the location. I’m saying beautiful because I was just in love with seeing Tina‘s place which was so beautiful marble floors and the Airbnb I stayed in was very very nice and had plenty of space for a small family with multiple children. I had so much space that I didn’t know what to do with it all to be honest.. Ricardo and Tina are amazing! Tina even offered us dinner, which warmed my heart because, dinner wasn’t something that I didn’t expect at all. Everything was very modern and up-to-date. Tina familiarize me with all the places in the area, which was extremely helpful arranged taxi service for us. As far as the location goes, it is absolutely perfect for beach goers. I even extended my stay and show to not go to my next location. That’s how much I enjoyed it. I highly recommend to stay here! I will stay again

After we had to leave another apartment at short notice, we were very warmly welcomed by Tina in the apartment. Tina showed us around right away. The apartment was impeccably clean and the kitchen was also equipped with everything necessary. Tina came after 2 nights to check on things and ask if we needed anything. Since our daughter was sick at the time, she drove us to the hospital without further ado and took care of our daughter in a touching way ❤️ We are very grateful for the stay in the apartment. Tina is super sweet and despite the fact that we don't speak Spanish, she took care of us in a touching way. We can only recommend the apartment!

All the laudatory comments of previous visitors are true and there is not much to add. This unique valley has so much to offer, if you are interested in Landscape, Plants, Geology, Hiking, People… Some physical fitness is helpful. My tip: a two nights stay might not be enough to explore. Another plus: the food offered by Iolanda and Johannes (a trained cook!) is exceptional and shouldn’t be missed under any pretext. Iolanda and Johannes are both outstanding hosts. WiFi can be spotty but the cellphone reception is very good so you might want to think about using your phone as a local hotspot, if urgently needed. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is very good, the amenities are good. The shops and the sea are close. But above all Maria is exceptional, close, responsive, friendly. Excellent pastry chef, she offered us good cake. It feels like home. Her husband speaks English and a little French. I recommend this beautiful experience.

This house is suitable for a stay for several families, it is large is spacious. Very well located on the city close to everyone. The only small downside is the lack of furniture that will make better use of spaces, like the rooftop terrace that has a lot of potential. Alcino has plans to make these improvements by this summer. He is available, very friendly and with good advice, he also works at the tourist office. I would highly recommend it.
