This place is a paradise! This family is adorable and always very available. We had an excellent stay in this place, the pool is magnificent, the private beach downstairs is superb too. Would highly recommend staying here!! Especially as a solo traveller it was so important to find somewhere safe and in a convenient location. So close to the beach and many local restaurants, you’ll find everything you need at walking distance. The local family that lives next door is very supportive, always being one text message away with doctor service and making delicious breakfasts for me.

Our stay at the Palm Lanka was truly a highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. The south coast can get quite busy, so staying at such peaceful and beautiful place was very refreshing. The villa is beautiful, really spacious so it doesn’t feel crowded even with other guests present and it had everything we needed for our stay. Suresh and Manel were always so nice and helpful, and so were the owners Veronika and Pavel. Everyone made sure everything was perfect and made the stay even more special. We highly recommend spending a few nights here:)

Beautiful place surrounded by nature and a short drive to the city. Spacious kitchen, well equiped with a food menu that can be cooked by the onsite chef. Elsperth has been quick to respond and was great help!

Nuwan’s place is what Airbnb is supposed to be - an original house hosted by a true local. Robin Hill is located about 2 mins walk to the beach and one of the best restaurant along the weligama beach called Ceylon Slider, and an additional 10 min up north to where most of the surfboard rentals are set up. It is also a 300-500 rupee ride from Mirissa beach and jungle beach, which I recommend checking out. Weligama beach is the safest beach for a beginner surfer. If you are a first time surfer, I recommend just live here for a week and go surf everyday. More advanced surfers can also get green waves further down the water or try check out Mirissa and Jungle beach nearby. And did I mention how beautiful Nuwan’s place is? Antique and fresh flowers are everywhere. The pool and garden are very well maintained and looks even nicer than the picture. On some afternoons I just hang out by the pool and do yoga on the lawn. The common space to room ratio is excellent. Because the place locates in a neighborhood, bordering a school and temple, you might wake up to temple chanting, kid’s voice or some traffic on a work day morning. If you are a light sleep just bring a pair of earplug. As a solo traveler coming here in off-season, I got just as much attention and care from Nuwan and his staff. I really enjoyed my stay and appreciate the hospitality.

Such a lovely place to stay in Weligama, easy access to local shops, resteraunts and the beach! scooter hire avaliable, water sold on site. lovely kitchen to cook in and comfortable beds with mosquito nets! highly recommended

Dhanushka is a great host, he and his family made us feel so welcome. Communication was great and there were no problems in the month that we stayed there. It was a real experience of the local Sri Lankan village life and we loved it, especially Dhanushka’s family and our wonderful neighbours across the street.

From the moment we saw the photos 📸, we had a feeling the place would be special — but arriving there completely blew us away 🤯✨. The house is nothing short of stunning 🏡, a true masterpiece that reflects the eye of a talented designer 🎨. Knowing that Indika personally crafted every detail made it all the more impressive 👏. There are some great little cafes nearby ☕🍽️, and it's super easy to grab a beer 🍺 and unwind by the beach 🌊 — total vacation vibes 😌🌴. In terms of amenities, the house has everything a backpacker could need 🎒🧼. We were especially grateful for the laundry facilities 🧺 since we’d been on the road for two weeks 🚐✈️. Also Indika arranged us a rental scooter from the house itself which was super helpful as we didn’t have yo go look for rental places🛵 All in all, it’s a peaceful, picturesque escape 🌅💆‍♀️, and we had such a memorable stay 💖. The space is very simple and could be excellent with some slight renovations. But that being said I will rate it five stars for the following reasons : 1. Very safe. It’s a separate structure in the hosts own compound. So safety is guaranteed 2. Privacy. 3. Host is very flexible and easy going. We asked for a very early check in and late checkout and he offered it with no friction at all. 4. Proximity to everything beach related while being positioned at enough of a distance away from the shops and stays that blast loud music (even on a poya day) that you can be ensured a sound night of rest and sleep.
