A nice apartment in a peaceful area of Wakayama. It is close to a Nankai train station, 15 minutes from Wakayama station. The place itself has everything needed and the hosts were reactive and polite.

I was able to stay like own home. Due to unusual cold, the owner brought a brand new electric blanket and I was able to sleep in the warm bed. I thought it was very kind of them.

Located in Shirahama-cho, this homestay is about an hour's drive from Wakayama Castle and Kumano-daisha, and it is convenient to have a car. There is a big supermarket nearby, and it is easy to buy food and commodities. The house is very tidy and fully equipped, only the garbage separation box is small, and it is easy to overflow. The owner is also very responsive and easy to communicate with, in general, a good choice!

Very nice house, very large area, exactly the same as the photos shown by the host, absolutely suitable for vacation and travel, first-line sea view, with its own hot spring, This time I only stayed for one night, I will definitely stay for a while if I have the chance in the future.

3 bedroom unit in managed tower called Crystal Exe Shirahama 2, part of Crystal chain. We had unit 1102 which has expansive views of the beach & inland from the wrap around balconies on 3 sides. Big rooms,clean and a short walk to the beach and the Ginza Dori eating area & various foot baths. (even shorter if you use the stairs in the middle of the adjacent hospital car park). English diagram of the washing machine & hot water controls would have been good.( note if you want more than a luke warm shower there is a panel over the controls above bath that you need to flick down with your fingernail if you wish to raise the shower/bath temperature). Multinational " students" on check in desk under strict instructions not to let us in until 3pm despite the unit empty & made up the day before (not the hosts fault.) Just Japan and Rules over Service culture. Also strictly one key only which is inconvenient as we had 2 groups and reception closes at 7pm. A good place stay in Shirahama.

I enjoy the natural in-house onsen very much with an ocean view. It would be more friendly to older people if the building could have a lift since the room is on the 3rd floor.

It's a few train stops from Wakayama city so it is not far from the city and we also took the train to the nearby beach. The instructions provided were accurate and we had no problems locating the building and entering the apartment. We were very impressed by how well-equipped the apartment was and how thoughtful they were to provide packets of ramen, cooking condiments, pots and pans, utensils as we did cook our own meals. The nearest supermarket is about 1km away and the nearest convenience stores are about 15 minutes walk away, so not exactly at your doorstep because this is a residential area. It is a very quiet area, except when the trains pass but that did not bother us. There was internet available when we stayed so this was an added bonus. There aren't too many restaurants around, though there was a nice yakitori restaurant very near. There were a few mosquitoes but not bothersome. Overall, we were very happy with our one-week stay at the apartment, and will be happy to return.

This is a cozy, cute and spacious. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would suggest the host to simplify the check in process. It’s self check in. Each person in your party will have to take a photo with passport on the check in pad. You won’t get the passcode without taking photos. I uploaded the passport photos prior to check in so I didn’t understand about this process. We had a large group and the people who arrived early couldn’t get into the house until everyone arrived.

What a lovely stay, do not hesitate a minute to book this place. The hosts are lovely, kind people who will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, they offer great information about the area too. The surroundings are serene and quaint, we saw a lot of animals during our hikes and the tiny shrines here and there really add to the charm. Beautiful river nearby, a beach, great little onsens. The house is beautifully arranged with anything you may possibly need and offers a fantastic, wholesome experience of a traditional countryside lodging in Japan. I would rate it 10 stars if there was a possibility.

This is a wonderful house in the Kitayama range. It is spacious and has the nice touch and feel of the 80's with all the furniture and equipment one expects from a Japanese home. The host, Noriko-san, is a lively and extremely kind person. She arranged my arrival with much care, found out the best train and bus route for me and organised my being picked up at the bus station. She came and stayed at the guesthouse for half of my stay (we agreed on that before I booked) and it was a pleasure sharing time with her and the manager of the house who lives near by. Both where extremely obliging and helped me exploring around. I warmly recommend it for those searching for the sound of silence.

Anyway, it was easy to spend time, and the access to the surrounding area was very good if it was a car, so I enjoyed it very much.

This was an amazing place to relax after an exhausting last day on the Kumano Kodo. The unit was clean and well equipped. The host has gone out of their way to make sure you had snacks and lots of cozy places to sit. I would highly recommend this place.

From the time of booking to the day of the reservation, I was in touch with the co-host, but I was relieved by the quick response. The place is also well organized and cleaned, and I think it is very beautiful. The sauna, etc. didn't have the impression that it was installed, and I think all the entrance doors of the building were renovated unexpectedly, but I was very relaxed.Especially the sauna and bath! The sauna has a very good smell of wood, has a tidy space, and is easy to access with the bath.The bath is also large and easy to enter, and the hot spring is very pleasant. Although it is detailed, it is personally good to have two toilets or outdoor wet slippers!! The dog run is also quite spacious, and even large dogs can play well. I think it's a very good place to total. A little negative... * The parking lot is difficult to understand, so I think it is better to check in advance. You can park a large car or a low-height car, but it is quite difficult. It is better to make your luggage somewhat compact and easy to carry.You will be a bit of a walk through where there are stairs and steps. Depending on the season, mosquitoes and insects are amazing, so it would be very helpful if you could put mosquito coils. It is a bath, but there was a stick, so I think it was partitioned before, but I think it should be installed with curtains or smokes. I wrote a lot about it, and overall I am very satisfied. A truly countryside experience for my teens. Took a little getting use for them. Living spaces were huge. Place was old -school style, neat and clean. Car park next to house. 30 mins to Nachi falls, 20 mins to Taijin Town, 30 mins to Hashiguiwa Rocks. nice peaceful village.

It was very clean and fully equipped.The location was straightforward and check-in was seamless.It was nice that the parking lot was free. I just bought ingredients for dinner.There are no condiments, so you may need to pay attention to buying flavored ingredients, etc.The kitchen was fully equipped and we enjoyed cooking together in the morning and evening. The sunset over the sea from the bedroom and bath was very beautiful, and my first stay in Shirahama was a pleasant memory. Also, there is a washing machine with dryer function, so I appreciated being able to wash and dry my bathing suit and towels after swimming and take them home. I was able to watch YouTube on the TV, so I enjoyed playing my favorite videos and music. It was my first time using Airbnb, but I found that I could stay in such a well-serviced place at a cheaper price than a hotel, and I had more options for my upcoming trip.

We stayed for over a month and liked it a lot. Kids friendly. It is what the description says. Nothing fancy. It does have a decent onsen. The bedroom was larger than expected for Japan. The surrounding area where the hotel was looks somewhat abandoned and far from the main attractions of shirahama, but it was very immersed in nature in comparison to other options. We can definitely see ourselves booking again here.

Great place, good to stay a few days to enjoy all points in Shirahama, and you can cook if you want as the kitchen is fully equipped. The view of the apartment is beautiful.

I stayed for one night, but I wanted to stay a little longer! It is a place where you can relax. The location is great with a panoramic view of Shirahama Beach! If I get another chance, I want to use it!

The facility feels like a retreat and is old, but it is well cleaned.Also, the bath was very good with the source.
