Founded in 1957, my grandfather, Eiichi Tanuchi, ran an inn called Aiwasho for the cultural development of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture. In order to continue to protect its history and traditions, his granddaughter, Kiushuko, reopened the inn under its original name in 2021. Built on the site of Ueno Castle, this inn is a traditional Japanese house with tatami mats on the floor. Please relax in one of the two Japanese-style rooms. The inn is located on a hill overlooking the city of Tanabe, so you can enjoy the morning sun, sunset, and night view. On a calm day, we recommend having tea in a wicker chair on the edge of the hinoki cypress wooden deck, which was made in the image of the moon viewing platform of the Katsura Imperial Villa. The newly installed bath and toilet are spacious and barrier-free, so you can bathe together or use them easily even if you need assistance. We installed popin.aladdin (lighting with projector) in one of the Japanese-style rooms. The bed is a bunk bed. It is compact, so it is not suitable for large people or people with disabilities. In order to provide a cheap accommodation fee, we also use reuse furniture, so there will be some dirt, etc.Please understand. Surrounded by woods, the sound of birds during the day.There is also a deer crowing at night. Get away from it all and spend time under the stars in the garden. The location is in front of the Takatsubashi bus stop and has excellent access. You can take a bus from the accommodation to Hongu Taisha, Kawayu Onsen, Yunomine Onsen, and Shingu Station. There is no bath, but there is a shower room. If you want to take a bath, you can also go to the nearby Kawayu Onsen.
