Small quiet and peaceful village, perfect for recharging and resting. Nice house with all amenities surrounded by a beautiful garden. We were also able to enjoy a very nice indoor pool. Recommended for people who love nature.

Fab place. We loved the use of the kayaks, and the pool was great. Very comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Only a 6 mins drive to a hypermarket and very quiet roads . Tony was very helpful and friendly. We would come again. Thoroughly recommend.

Pleasant and peaceful stay in this very well-equipped cottage. The bedding is comfortable as well as the sofa. We will not hesitate to take a break here on occasion.

The location of the accommodation is very peaceful. Direct access to the marsh on foot as well as the loan of the boat are assets that made this stay all the more pleasant. Recommended!

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Sylvie was a great host. The house was lovely. The outdoor area, swimming pool and beautiful garden was perfect for outdoor living. Close proximity to Cognac ensured that all services were only a short drive away.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well-equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

We had a great time with the family, in an ideal setting and a house with a pool that perfectly met our expectations.

We chose 'Le Manoir' for its setting and 'So British' decoration. We weren't disappointed! On the contrary, we immediately felt good in our vacation home. Thanks in particular to the details (old beds but excellent bedding), very well-equipped kitchen and what can I say about the magnificent bathroom!!!! We have only one small downside: the dishes for 6 people are a little tight. Scottie and Kerstie's hospitality and responsiveness are up to the task.

We rented the house for a group of 10 and everything went perfectly. The accommodation was exactly as described: very clean, well arranged and perfectly functional for a group stay. The host was extremely responsive, available throughout the stay, and very accommodating, including accepting a late checkout. We had a great time — I recommend it.

A very traditional French house. It had everything we needed for a 6 night stay during a 17 night road trip. Very rural but that wasn’t an issue.

Anne Marie is a generous and kind host. The gifts when we arrived were much appreciated. The house was very comfortable and the garden is beautiful. The location of Benjamin’s place is ideal - safely contained in a very pretty complex of apartments with parking and easy access to the beach. Once inside, you would never know you are close to other apartments because it is quiet, well lit, and beautiful. The back garden at sunset is incredible. There were only two of us and our dog, but the apartment is stocked to be able to easily host a small family. It’s clean and organized with a spacious kitchen and a comfortable bed. We were met at the gate when we arrived, the key hand-off was friendly and quick. Check-out instructions were clear and we didn’t feel rushed at all. All in all, a great stay. We hope to return someday soon!
