We were totally blown away by this gem. As a little paradise, which provided a peace and harmony we have longed for. The hosts have thought of everything, so rich and practical in the boathouse. The whole decor was so lovely, and done with great love for the space ❤️ the beds were really good to sleep in. Moving that people we lend out such a unique and great place to others. Inger and Bjørn were just lovely and hospitable. The beautiful nature, so close to the sea, boating, fishing, loop area and SUP was absolutely amazing. Not least to be able to sit down in the boathouse, enjoy the flame from the fire pit..while the fish jumped around us in the sea 🥰 an absolutely magical place that just has to be experienced…We know there is a lot to do in the nearby area. But we enjoyed just staying at the boathouse so much. The shoulders really got lowered! We really fell in love with the space 🌸 They also had a lovely annex if you were several, the annex had a great terrace with a lovely view of the sea… Recommend the place with all my heart ❤️

A relaxing place to stay with beautiful views, easy access to hikes and fishing, and helpful hosts. We loved opening the windows to be immersed in birdsong, playing in the garden, and some thoughtful touches from the host who popped by to say hi with a bunch of flowers and some coffee. Fully recommend.

Had an amazing time staying at the loft. Very nice and cozy space which had everything you could ever need. Nancy was such a kind and sweet host. She was always available and giving us tips on how to best enjoy the area. The town itself is very beautiful and fun to explore. It was very peaceful and relaxing, so the perfect vacation.

We spent a great 2 weeks in beautiful Norway with Bente. A super nice landlady who gave us good tips and spoiled us with delicious pancakes. We felt very comfortable in the beautiful cottage and just enjoyed the peace, nature, fishing from the boat or even from the shore. We can only recommend vacationing at Bente in Norway. Our visit in August 2024 is an absolute holiday highlight. Birger's cottage by the lake is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We had fantastic days, kayaking, sunbathing and fishing. All in heavenly peace and quiet, yet only 15 minutes from Haugesund. The cottage itself is very well maintained and lovingly furnished; everything you need is there. Birger was always available and was always helpful with advice. Definitely recommended!

Perfect by the sea and pool

We had a fantastic long weekend at Torbjørn's house. We were an extended family with grandparents, children, in-laws and grandchildren, a total of 8 adults and 2 small ones. Very tastefully decorated house with good bolting space. There were several toilets/bathrooms, which was great when we were so many. The outdoor area was superb, undisturbed and peaceful with great views. There was a heated pool where small and big enjoyed themselves, very clean and well cared for. A cozy outdoor living room for the evenings was too, but we were lucky enough with the weather that there was no need for it. Heiane, with all the shops, was just a few minutes away. We will be happy to come again another time and can highly recommend the house. Thank you for us :)

The house is even more beautiful and larger than you could see in the pictures. We did not use the boathouse, but it offers a good opportunity to spend time on the water in any weather. The hosts are very nice, we were greeted directly and shown the accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place that is recommended! The location was peaceful and lovely, well equipped house with soul, clean and neat and many available activities for the kids, both outside and inside. Helpful and pleasant host. Here we would very much come back.

We had wonderful stay at Kari and Edmund house. It felt as home. Cosy, clean, everything available in kitchen, bathroom, living room. So complete. Nice view of lake. If you like peace, nature and hiking this is the place to be. Kari is a very nice host.

Incredibly great apartment for couples and singles. Located absolutely stunning overlooking the sea. Cozy patio/porch with seating area. Access to indoor parking. Outdoor pool (we didn't try that). Seline was easy to get in touch with, very nice, responded quickly and took the initiative for good information on how to get around and get in. Very well equipped apartment and nicely furnished, we had everything we needed and more. We are very happy to rent this apartment again and highly recommend it and Seline.

A seaside fairytale gem in Hardangerfjord w/boat

What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.
