Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience both moose, deer, hare, otter, eagle and grouse. In summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the Northern Lights. There are great hiking trails and the possibility for mountain hikes.

Eddastua is a lovely Nordland house from 1880

Eddastua has history and charm. Edda Konstanse lived in the house with her sisters, they made a living as seamstresses. A few years after Edda's death, Prostinne Valborg and her husband Prost Steffensen took over. When he died, Valborg moved to her children and the house stood empty for almost 50 years, before Christensen took over in 2001. They have taken care of all the things that were there and turned the house into a gem with charm and tranquility. Brand new bathroom with toilet and shower. Unfortunately no public transport available but is free parking space. Here, you have everything you need, from bedding to towels. Just walk right in, relax, and enjoy yourself ☺️ There is also a campfire pan that you can enjoy using ☺️ If you are lucky, you can get a glimpse of the northern lights :)
