Magaliesberg Mountain Retreat

We spend a week in the Mountain retreat for a school trip (two teachers with a group of nine students). We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. The retreat is very spacious and well equipped for cooking for a group. Some hiking trails to the top of the mountain are accessible directly from the retreat. Communication with Betu was also very easy.

It met expectations. I would say somewhat pricey. Hikes could have been slightly better marked i.e. the milestone points. Very peaceful. Beautiful scenery. Wales was a star in delivering some basics to the house and letting me know about an item i had left behind. Keep it up.

I would recommend Ann's place to anyone who would like to visit Harties. The house is exactly like the pictures. The house was clean, children friendly and top of the class. The host was responsive and went all miles to assist were needed. Thank you Ann ,we really had a lovey family outing ❤️.

Our stay at Rose’s place was exceptional. Rose was extremely communicative and responsive. The pictures truly do not do it justice. The house is huge and perfect for a large group. Every room was extremely spacious and well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked with the best crockery, cutlery and cookware including an entire set of Le Creuset. The place was spotless and beautifully furnished. The attention to detail was unbelievable including embroidered gowns for all guests with slippers. The cherry on top was the incredible assistance we received from the staff who live onsite who ensured the house was always spotless and attended to. In addition, they also set the table every morning and evening comparable to a boutique hotel. We will definitely be back.

Comfy, spacious farmhouse with beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere. Never met the hosts but helpful and accommodating. Great price for what we received my only complaint is that i didn’t have the time to stay longer, will definitely be back with a bigger group

Awesome, a truly unique "bush" experience with all the comforts of home, ... except television !! Which was awesome !! Lots for kids to do and explore. I loved the set-up of the cabin we stayed in "Vultures View". Really great .. all the bedrooms open onto the pool deck, as well as the massive kitchen doors which keeps everyone connected and relaxed. Go with comfort !!! Marty G.

Great stay! We had a wedding nearby and this was the perfect place to spend the night. Pieter was very good responding to all our communications and the accommodation is situated in an EXTREMELY beautiful location. The only thing i would advise to double check is the location of the accommodation as the co-ordinates on AirBnB differ from the actual pin location. Other than that I would certainly recommend👏

Allan is a kind and gracious host. His place is gorgeous! Its clean, quaint and bang in the middle of nature. Loved the art, tons of gorgeous books and games. The pool is to die for. Its more breathtaking than the pics, esp in afternoons. The pool is elevated on a hill so you have a panoramic view of surrounding mountains on one side and the magalies bush on the other. The view from this pool was better than the one I experienced at a jacuzzi in a castle in Tuscany. Thanks again Allan. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent spot to get away. about 30 min off a main road which makes it that much better. No noise from cars just nature. a beautiful little dam to take a dip In. hosts were great. and the accommodation was simple but clean and perfect.
