Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Sumatra

highly recommend for those who comes from city and would like to feel staying in Kampung house (like me & do not have any families staying in kampung). Still maintaining the heritage of the original house yet modernised toilets for current context (I think city ppl will always hv toilets concern when gng holidays) I felt so peaceful & wish I could stay longer. There's a small stream that is kids friendly depth, also there's pool for the kids to enjoy. My family loved this place too. sadly no durian yet when I came (June'25). the receptionist says best time to come in Jul/Aug. Falling in love with Perak & Will definitely return again hopefully & try other houses (Rumah Kuning or Kuda).

This is my second time booking this homestay – the house is super spacious and very clean. We had a birthday event this time, and everything was provided – tables, chairs, all complete. Really recommended! The owner is friendly and easy to talk to. Such a beautiful home… I love it!

Inaz' house was perfect for our small group gathering. Everything was designed and provided for us to have a perfect weekend getaway to chill and for a BBQ evening. All amenities were there for us to make breakfast and lunch too. We love how clean, and the small things (small pool table, boardgames, kids play area etc.) host prepared to ensure their guests have plenty to do throughout the stay. We were also very pleased with host's generosity to allow checkout at 2pm. That gives us enough time to fully enjoy the next day. Will definitely come back again!

The location is very good, there is a convenience store nearby, it is within walking distance of many neighborhoods, the host is very nice, we encountered a situation as soon as we arrived in Penang, the Grab driver refused to deduct the fee automatically and insisted on collecting cash, but we had just arrived and didn't have time to withdraw money, so we had no choice but to ask Bryant for help, he helped us very quickly, thank you very much🙏

We had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was perfect for us, as we were looking for a place within walking distance to the beach that also had a swimming pool for the kids. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. However, the common area can get quite hot during the morning and afternoon. It would be great if more fans were provided. For the the dining area, installing blinds to block out the direct sunlight would make the space more comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. Right in front of the homestay, there’s a nasi lemak restaurant that opens at night.

Great location, lots of local shopping, nice restaurants, cafe and attractions within walking distance. Cozy place to recharge before exploring GeorgeTown.

After traveling to many countries and staying at many different Airbnbs, this was easily the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at and the best host I’ve ever had. The place is perfect for short term and long term stays. We arrived to the Airbnb at night and were greeted by Ng who went out of his way to provide us with dinner so that we can have a restful first night after flying in. The place is very spacious and had everything we wanted and needed during our stay. The space has a luxurious feel to it, with a great view of the Petronas towers. The living room and kitchen area were very nice, and the bedroom and bathroom were extremely comfortable. Location is great and so were the amenities. Fast working elevators in the building was also nice to have. Air conditioning worked well and bathroom shower had great pressure. We felt at home here and if we are ever in Kuala Lumpur again we will be sure to stay here again. Thank you, Ng!

Love this place so much! Same goes for my family. Dennis is a good and responsive host. His house is very clean—feels like home sweet home. You can see he put a lot of thought and care into his homestay. Dennis prepared a lot of free F&B (eggs, cup noodles, coffee, tea, Milo, milk, etc). We loved the balcony the most—very comfortable! Had breakfast there every morning with what he provided. If got Jam, it would be perfect! Really appreciate he gave freeze-dried coffee and not 3-in-1—nice touch! Living room has 2 sofas—one of them is moderately firm, good for sleeping. Two bedrooms: master room fits 3–4 people and smaller room fits 2 and comes with a balcony. The bathroom is clean, and shampoo is provided. Water pressure is strong, and the water is hot. The TV is large but only supports YouTube, unless you have a Netflix account to log in. Parking is convenient, just in front of the house and no need to wait for the lift—very convenient! Overall, an excellent stay. Thanks again!

Grata and comfortable

The apartment is on the side of the w hotel. It’s on floor 25 and sometimes I had to wait for the lift a while. There was no hot water but as it was so hot outside the cold shower was refreshing. The TVs did not work well but certainly they can be fixed. Washing dryer etc worked very well. Generally I was extremely pleased with everything and I would recommend this place to stay. It’s good value and a great location with a great view. Thank you

The first Airbnb I truly enjoyed. My partner and I needed a place to stay in Malaysia - and Mont Kiara is perfect. It's safe, quiet, community here is amazing, and in these 2 months I've meet so many good and kind people that I'll miss. Shopping is easy, there is a gym, pools, everything I needed. And this area was a great place for taking late night runs, it's so quiet and safe - very nice. And there is a local running community I always see them while I'm on my runs. The Airbnb listing mentioned “light cooking,” but honestly, the kitchen was better equipped than my own home. Cooking here was AMAZING, the space was clean, easy to use, equipped and just very pretty. Living here was effortless. Small things, like the easy-to-use washing machine, made a big difference for someone like me who works long hours. I had a lot of extra time to create memories here and I couldn't be more grateful to Yau for this amazing place, and Malaysia for offering this. 100% coming back when I visit!

Hannah's place is great. My kids love the stay and a lot of entertainment. I especially like the kitchen where amenities are complete. The host is very thoughtful by providing us a lot of drinking water. I will surely come back again. Thanks host.

Perfect stay with an unforgettable view! The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described, with an absolutely stunning view at night. The location is super convenient—right next to Lalaport Shopping Mall and easy to get a Grab to anywhere in the city. The hosts were very responsive and made everything smooth. It was more than just a stay—it became a lifelong memory, as I was proposed to right on the balcony overlooking the city lights. Truly magical. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay. The apartment is spacious and well kept. Easy to find and easy to self check in. The location is a little bit out of the centre, which we always look for. But it’s easy to get a grab or a train into the centre. The trains are air conned so we loved being on them. There are plenty of great restaurants near by and street food places within walking distance. The view at night from the apartment and the pool is the highlight. Recommend a night time swim with the lit up skyline. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return the KL. Thank you.

Diana 's place is a gem. The view of the house is amazing. The house is as per everything is shown in the picture. Clean and beautiful! Is a near walk to Gurney Paragon and Gurney Plaza. Is surrounded by foods and easily assessible by foot, car or by grab.

My son truly enjoyed his 4days 3nights stay in this place. I was attending conference, felt bad to keep my son with my family in the Homestay. Fortunately, my son never gets bored with this place. Can play whole day in room, and went to pool for swim and play. He told me he wanted to stay for 99days 🤣
