Our stay near Tetebatu was truly unforgettable! The peaceful, serene setting was absolutely stunning- just a short 3-minute walk to the black monkey forest, followed by another short stroll to a beautiful waterfall. We loved exploring on our own and chatting with friendly locals along the way, but Kusuma’s brother also offers fantastic tours if you prefer a guide. The highlight was without doubt the food-Kusuma’s wife, the sweetest soul, made us the BEST dinner we’ve ever had in Indonesia (jackfruit curry, chicken curry & gado gado-unreal!). Please eat here-you won’t regret it! Breakfast on the first day was incredible: fried bananas, omelet, and fresh grannafila juice from their passion fruit tree. On the second day, breakfast was just fruit-delicious but a little too light before a long travel day. The jungle sounds around our cozy Pondok at night were the perfect soundtrack-natural, peaceful, and magical. A genuine and soul-refreshing stay we’ll never forget!
