Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Strathcona

My partner and our children reserved this lovely home for a retirement celebration with our in laws. The home was spacious for all six of us and our family dog and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The home is nestled in a beautiful mountainous area with lovely views from all the front windows. It's rustic yet modernized layout and structure made it the perfect place to cozy up together or spread out and enjoy some quiet time separately. It's location is close enough to many trails and beach access points to get out and explore. The hot tub, sauna and cold plunge were definitely a highlight for our Spring trip and did not disappoint.

Just an awesome place! Really nice floor place and modern appliance and touches throughout the home. Communication from host was really good. Great instructions and very proactive.

Katy and Dave were incredible hosts - they made sure the hot tub was warm for us each day and were responsive to whatever we needed. The place itself is GORGEOUS - we didn’t leave once and were entertained the entire time, even in the rain. It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to be back at some point! Can’t recommend enough.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ed and Trina's! The space was even better than we expected from the photos- tons of space and natural light. Bathroom, kitchen, living space, and bedrooms were all very clean. They included all of the amenities you could possibly need- and more! The personalized letter left for us on arrival along with a bottle of wine and yummy chocolates was so nice and made us feel very welcome. Great outdoor space for morning and evening and having a BBQ to use was a bonus. Very close driving distance to Seal Bay, Nymph Falls, etc. STAY HERE :)

Very nice place. Easy access to restaurants, walking trails and shopping. Great basis to visit Comox area. Nicely decorated and roomy for a one bedroom. Warm and homey!

The place was beautiful inside and extremely clean. The place had outdoor seating which we enjoyed. AC was perfect for the hot weather we experienced. It had all the amenities needed. Close to beaches and restaurants and winery. Perfect stay.

First time to Hornby and am so glad I found this gem! The apartment was the perfect blend of rustic and modern and the property was stunning, peaceful, and quiet. Stu was also responsive when we had a question and gave really helpful and clear instructions for arrival. If we make it back to Hornby, will definitely book this one again.

This is a great place to stay in Cumberland. It is a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and we could bike to the mountain bike trails in minutes. Kelly was a great host and was very helpful with our bike storage which made our stay easy. The apartment was new and had everything you would need and more. We liked that this apartment had A/C and a washer and dryer. Would definitely stay here again. .

Great stay in Tahsis with Nigel. Everything we needed for a successful fishing trip was available. Nigel met us at the dock to check us in and show us the great property. Nigel checked in occasionally to make sure we had everything we needed. Top notch, we’ll be back without a doubt.

Brooke's place is just 5 minutes from the Mt. Washington Alpine Resort. It has beautiful surroundings and stunning views of the snow clad mountains. All the amenities are in good condition. Brooke was very responsive and made our stay extremely comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend this place!

We loved staying in this space, the co-hosts Sue & Maurice were so lovely and very welcoming from the moment we arrived! This space is located on a large, beautifully maintained, serene property tucked among the trees, with a river running beside the lower portion of the yard. The hosts invited us to set up a fire in their pit beside the river, and brought out all the goodies so we could roast marshmallows with our young children, who loved every moment of it. Very nice stay, we would love to come back here again.

This was one of our favorite stays, and we hope to return. This funky little island with cool folks has orca, eagles, hiking, biking, kayaking, yummy food and a chill vibe. We loved it and the kind locals who welcomed us - especially our hosts. The suite itself and Cindy’s thoughtful hospitality make this quite a luxurious stay. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The linens are very soft 100% cotton. There is a beautiful outdoor tub on the spacious deck and cozy robes. The entire suite allows for an indoor/outdoor garden experience with an ocean view - very Four Seasons resorts. This is a perfectly curated space that feels made for travelers, by travelers. There is everything you need and plenty of space to stow your gear. Cindy is an excellent host (with impeccable taste) and expert communicator who goes above and beyond to ensure the comfort of those fortunate enough to book a stay here. This is exactly the type of experience we love - outdoor adventures all day + cozy comfy suite

We had a great time at Thomas and Anne’s place! They were such welcoming hosts, very generous and kind people. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to explore, including fresh water lakes with swimming docks, beaches, and hikes with ocean views. We also spent a lot of time just relaxing on the porch, where we enjoyed the sounds of the forest and a view of an eagle nest right in front of the house. The place is really well equipped and the small details made it extra special. We will definitely stay again someday!

We had a magical stay at the Beach House. Being able to walk barefoot right onto the beach was so special to us. When it rained we were still able to open the panel of patio doors to maximize our time with the beautiful landscape. Just a stunning place to stay. The Host was very responsive and wonderful to work with. The space was immaculate, cozy and had everything we needed!

We have had an amazing time! The place was stunningly beautiful with views and location to match. Darrell and Cheryl were the perfect hosts always ready to help when needed and gave us many ideas and options to visit and places to have a meal. My family and I had the most amazing time chilling on the beach and going to waterfalls but most of all just to relax in a beautiful spot and home. We will definitely be back. The apartment had everything we needed and we felt right at home. The kitchen was well equipped, everything was well labelled and Andrea even had “kid” dishes so it suited us perfectly. There is a dishwasher which was great:. The place was tidy and clean. We had meals outside and enjoyed the view from the patio. The kids enjoyed the small outdoor pool which was heated. There is access to a marina from the property but no beach. Andrea was very communicative and responsive. She answered questions about the unit when needed and was helpful to provide local recommendations for beaches and things to do. We arrived late at night in the pitch dark but Andrea’s instructions to find the unit were helpful and much needed as there were no signs indicating any unit numbers that we could see. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend Andrea’s apartment to anyone exploring Halfmoon Bay!

This Unit quickly became a family favourite. We will book it again and again. Hosts Anton and Tyson were super responsive and on top of everything. The building, Paradise Ridge, is a short walk across the street to a toboggan hill which doubles as the ski out directly to the Hawk chair (easy enough for our 8 year old skier and harness pulled 3 year old). The building is a close drive (or 15 min walk) to the Nordic Lodge, and similar walking distance to the Alpine Lodge. The Unit is fully stocked; lots of dishes and pans, etc, and newer appliances. Large heated entrance/boot room for all your wet gear. Layout is great for families, one bedroom and bathroom set away from the main living room and the other two bedrooms and bathroom. The Pool, hot tub, and sauna are a short walk down the stairs. Underground parking was an added bonus during significant snow days. Great views of the mountain from two bedrooms and the living room. Building residents were beyond friendly to guests! Book it!
