Great place, great neighborhood, quiet with easy access to everything… Quick response time and perfect communication.

Very clean and close to plenty of restaurants down town. I will gladly stay there again when I am in town for work. This was way better than staying at a hotel and the owners were very accommodating.

Amazing value, great host, beautiful place. Super clean, well taken care off. Plenty of utensils to cook your own meals. Very cozy and at-home feeling layout. There is a train close, but there was zero issue with noise during quiet hours. Very private feels and easy to access. Great host as well!

Easy to locate. Super CUTE & CLEAN!! Very spacious and it was very well supplied with everything you could need and more! Felt like an apartment you'd be comfortable living in full-time. We used the hot tub and it was very clean and nice to use. Lorraine was very responsive and we would highly recommend her place for anyone going to the local State Parks!!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

Everything was perfect! We hope to rent again next year!

The place was exactly what we were looking for, to get away and do some spring hiking. Vanessa was great with communication.

My daughter found this place for us to meet half way from each other. We arrived first and it was so clean and welcoming, even a nice bottle of wine. I’m very particular with cleanliness and it met my expectations. Everyone loved the quaintness of the house! Love the way they updated without taking away from the original look of everything. We totally loved the setting in the quiet woods and utilized the yard and the fire pit. The hot tub was a great plus, as the adults and kids alike enjoyed it! We made great memories here and will definitely consider staying here again!

The place was amazing, the pictures really don’t do it justice. We had three teens and they were entertained all weekend. Everything was clean and organized. So much thought was put into the house, from the full size pots and pans, to the free concession stand snacks, to the prize wheel. Multiple seating areas for dinning, inside and out. I can’t say enough about this house, will definitely make this an annual trip.

Great spot if you have a group of ~8. We didn’t want for anything (plenty of dishes, filtered water, well stocked kitchen, ect) and everyone was able to be included in each space. Large dining table was great for sharing meals and playing games. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was a welcome addition and was very clean/well maintained.

It was easy to find the house and checkin. The house was even more beautiful than the photos, especially the front rooms with the picture windows. The woodwork is incredible. We really appreciated the immaculate fenced-in yard, since we were traveling with two dogs. There’s also a great donut shop about 3 minutes walking distance, and the Main Street is full of options for dining and shopping. The only thing to note is that the bathroom sink had a very low flow (although the water pressure in the shower was great). Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was great. It was a great location and Angela went above and beyond as a host. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.
