Cottage vacation rentals in St. John's

The area is beautiful the home is beautiful and it's a short drive to the local restaurant. It couldn't have gone any better.

This little gem was very clean. Its in need of a little TLC on the deck boards but very comfortable. its a lovely spot, well stocked with condiments, dishwasher, washer and dryer and its right on the lake. Lots if birds and water fowl. we found everything we needed and more. Tessa sent us an email the day we arrived should we need anything (we did not) We really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to rebook in the future. thank you Tessa!!

Sue and Dave’s place was a beautiful place to explore the Avalon Peninsula. Amazing views and walking trails so close to home. Would stay again.

Shawn'a place was great! Only a 3-minute walk to the brewery and most other attractions in town. She was responsive and the place was very clean. All the photos matched so there were no surprises there. Dildo is a great little community and we would stay here again if we came back for a visit.

It was a beautiful, Private, detached cottage and perfect for a family of four. The place was neat and clean. The only issue was a slight smell in the water, which might be a common problem on Bell Island. However, we brought our own drinking water, so everything turned out great.

A perfect escape from everyday life , to relax in and take in the great views. Perfect hosts .

We absolutely loved our stay!!! We didn’t want to leave. Beautiful surroundings, super clean, private space. We loved the hot tub and used it every night. What a beautiful place to relax and spent quality time with our family! We will definitely be using this spot as our family get away every summer!

Had a fantastic girls getaway at Roger’s place. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, and private. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. The place was spotless, well maintained and cozy, we felt right at home! We will certainly be back again.

This spot was great! Clean and cozy, in a great location with a little store across the street which was highly convenient. Comfy beds, loved the hot tub and was very happy to see that it’s covered incase of rain, and that there’s patio furniture! Would def come back

Ashley was super responsive and the cabin was a wonderful retreat. We were able to shut off and just enjoy the space. It's the perfect size and the fire place is magnificent. I practically lived in the hot tub. 10/10

Our stay at Anne’s was great! We were a group of 6 people spanning 3 generations, ages 3 to 68, and this place met all our needs. Our kids loved the birds and chipmunks. My husband and I loved the access to the water and kayaks. My parents loved the view and hot tub. We were able to have family dinners and bbqs without any trouble. The surrounding nature was beautiful and was only a short drive to St. John’s or other historic towns (like Harbour Grace). Anne was very communicative and checked in proactively to make sure everything was alright. We are already planning our next stay. This remote cottage was perfect for us who were looking tor time to relax and connect, however the access to internet was handy for quick work check ins and a cosy evening watching a movie by the fire. Recommendations for any first time visitors to Newfoundland renting a vehicle - make sure to get one that is good for unpaved roads. Highly recommend this place.

After a pleasant stay last week, I decided to stay again. I wasn’t disappointed and I will be returning to stay again next week. Don’t think I need to say more, but the cottage was exceptionally clean and the host was quick to respond and friendly!

This place was truly a gem. The home is old and cute. It’s comfortable and cozy and warm. You can walk to historical sites and a restaurant. The view is unbelievable.

Halo’s Haven is simply a magical place where we found peace, serenity, tranquility, privacy and it was truly a complete stress release. The place itself was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. We loved and had so much fun with all the movies and playing the different board games. For us, one of the key features that set it above others is the fully fenced backyard. Our fur babies were so happy staying there and visibly enjoyed it as much as we did. Owners M & J were very friendly, polite, quick and followed up periodically to ensure everything was going as we expected. Even before leaving, we had already decided that we will be booking again very soon. This is a unique gem that found a niche for families with four legged family members. Absolutely recommend!!

We loved our time at Brenda's Airbnb! It was nice to Holiday like a local for a few days. The lake was great and they have nice chairs to sit in on the dock and relax. We also took the kayaks out for a morning. The boat house is roomy and we had everything we needed. Having a pool table was fun. We couldn't have ask for kinder hosts. They checked in to see we were comfortable and to see if we needed any local tips and then they left us to enjoy their property. ...And we did😊

Excellent location if you wish to see the boats in the Harbour decorated for Christmas. Just had to walk across the street!
