“Our family stayed here during the week while we were still in quarantine. We needed a change of scenery that was still low risk. We chose to come here to celebrate our 3 year olds birthday and our other son is 9 months. Alison was helpful and provided us with items we needed (baby gate and charcoal) very quickly. The space is perfect- my 3 year old son loved the toy cabinet full of paw patrol cars and dinosaurs. There were many child friendly items such as a pack n play, baby gate, toddler seat. While the home is not entirely baby proof (I wasn’t expecting this of any air bnb!) there are definitely many amenities and thoughts that went in to making it a good choice for families. We loved the outdoor space and my son loved looking for the cows and tractors and the dog that came to visit us. It was very close to natural bridge and the safari park which were the activities we chose to do. We cooked and ate at the house and we couldn’t find anything we were in need of that wasn’t there! Overall I highly suggest staying here. Only downside is no WiFi, but in hindsight it was probably a good thing to unplug for a bit!”

“This was hands down the coolest place I've ever stayed. The attention to detail that Randy and Linda have applied to the property, house, fixtures, check in, and experience was astonishing. This is the ultimate couple's getaway. My fiancée and I ended up spending almost all of our time at the house and the property. We loved sitting out on the "Buckleberry Ferry" as evening set in and all of the decorative lighting came on around the hobbit hole, truly a magical spot. It rained one of the days were were there but this didn't take away from our experience, we simply sat under the covered porch, drank a bottle of wine, and listened to the soft rain falling onto the small pond in front of the house. Randy and Linda gave excellent recommendations for what to do in Lexington, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Southern Inn and loved walking around the small town. I highly recommend that you take the time to get a tour of Randy's workshop. He does some really amazing work and his demonstrations are fascinating to watch. I loved it so much I came back later that day and partook in a Hobbit pipe making workshop where he taught me to make a usable long stem pipe. Randy is a great teacher, he modeled each step of the build process and then let me work on mine. He was always there if I needed help but didn't hover over me or make me nervous about making a mistake. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor and ended up coming home with a beautiful and usable pipe that I MADE! Check in and check out were wonderful, Randy and Linda are both extremely friendly people who really make you feel at home and taken care of with many homey touches and unending kindness. To wrap up this long review and summarize everything I've said above: It is awesome, book your stay now!”

“My husband and I were looking for a "post quarantine" retreat and this place was perfect. It was one of the most thoughtfully set up Airbnb's I've stayed in. The decor was very farmhouse chic, and the whole space was cozy. There was coffee, fresh fruit, stocked fridge, snacks, etc. which was more than I have seen in most Airbnb's. The location and view is a slice of heaven. We loved sitting on the patio in the evening and watching the cows. We even woke up before sunrise to see the valley light up. We definitely will be staying with Amber again!”
