Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Southport

Lovely place to stay was just unsure on the central heating but we switched it to auto and it came on at 6am didn’t really no how to use it shop nearby for all ur essential bits will definitely stay again thanks Carrie x

We spent only one night at Naomi’s place, arriving very late after a family event, but it was a pleasant overnight stay with super comfortable beds and a great shower in the morning. I left a necklace behind and Naomi and Darren kindly looked for it and sent it to me by registered post, for which I am very grateful.

Fabulous house, huge bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable lounge. Beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful stay. Easy to find parking on the street outside. Country walks from the town, or short drives to the Tolkien Trail which is a fantastic 3 hour walk with a pub at the start and end. Highly recommended.

The house was great for our family of five. Is location was excellent for walking around town and into the local countryside. Rebecca was helpful and responsive. We will definitely look to stay here again next time we are visiting from Australia

This was an absolutely exquisite AIRBNB to stay in. We had stayed a couple of days before in a rather unpleasant AIRBNB and so upon arrival at Joanne‘s place we took a deep breath of relief and felt right at home. Everything was clean and neat and well organised. Bedding was crisp and white. A lovely basket of drinks and snacks welcomed us. A well working washing machine was much used after our previous trip! The dishwasher was clean and efficient. Bathrooms and showers were all in great working order. The views from all the windows were absolutely delightful. We were in town visiting relatives and we thoroughly enjoyed having them over to experience the delightful home that Joanne had opened up to us. Some AIRBNB hosts tend to approach their hosting half-heartedly, but Joanne‘s approach was very professional and very thoughtful. We definitely recommend her AIRBNB 150%. We were sorry to leave

Loved our stay at this house. Pictures don't do it justice with the house much bigger than it looks. Very accessible location with only a 5 minute walk to the front of Lytham and it's beautiful windmill. 10 minute walk from the house will also take you right into the main street in the town where there are loads of cafes, pubs and shops. Helen was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We loved every minute of our Easter break.

Great house for extended family gathering. Quiet location with easy access to the city and nearby parks and cafes (& the fabulous Lark St) Ample street parking. House stylishly decorated and stocked with tea/proper coffee and everything required in a working kitchen. Very pleasant outdoor courtyard area perfect for morning coffee in the sun! (& there was sun!!)

We stayed as Garry had some church business over the Easter so decided to make a break of it. Mark was a fantastic host, very responsive and left lots of lovely treats. House well equipped and modern with a fabulous bathroom and nice master bedroom and kitchen. It is off quite a busy road, so has many local shops and takeaways on the doorstep. It is on a residential street but the neighbours were friendly enough I imagine parking could be a bit of an issue sometimes. We had a nice break and had some nice food and drinks while there. Lovely spacious ground floor apartment in a gated Georgian Building full of character. I stayed with a female friend and we felt safe and secure at all times and the bonus of parking for two cars is a rare find in Clitheroe. The welcome goods on arrival plus milk in the fridge were a nice touch too. I am familiar with Clitheroe as I shop there but have never stayed overnight but would do again definitely as there are lots of good places to eat and drink such as Holmes Mill, The Emporium and Wills Restaurant to name but a few. Also some nice independent shops too. My friend is from Scotland and she cant wait to return. There are also several excellent restaurants a short drive from Clitheroe too. The Ribble Valley offers lots to explore and some great scenery. Well worth a visit is the Melt Candle company in Waddington which is a ten minutes drive away. Tina is a great host and happy to help with anything and keeps in touch with you. I would definitely recommend you stay here.

Had such a wonderful stay at Racheals place felt so at home and Rachel was so responsive to anything we asked beautifully furnished and sooooo comfortable to loved every minute of our stay over Easter with family and we hosted our Easter Sunday dinner as the place was so well equipped thank you for making us so welcome

The flat was gorgeous, lush soft carpets, warm, bright, gorgeous decor and interesting books to peruse. Jane really has her eye in with hospitality and there were cookies and tea, a whole bottle of proper milk and orange juice. Lots of lovely touches that made it feel like a home from home. The location is quiet overlooking the Mersey river, which is tidal and turns into a beach in the morning! Its a short walk to the ferry over to Liverpool (if its running) or bus to train /taxi ride over to all the attractions. I would highly recommend this apartment and we enjoyed the quiet away from the city too. Thank you Jane!

We went to see Antony Gormley’s Another Place Lynne’s place is less than 5 minutes from the beach where the statues are. Perfect location for us and we were blessed with great weather

Perfect for our weekend. The accommodation was perfect, in fact we were taken back with how there cupboards were full off useful things…. Condiments, sauces, toiletries and that’s just a few I can mention. Appreciated the milk, bread, butter, nice gesture and makes a difference to some places who don’t offer that. Host also helped us out when our car broke down whilst we were there and went above and beyond to help sort it out for us. Overall the place was lovely, more than I actually expected, clean, tidy and perfect. Would definitely stay again if ever visiting Wigan. Thank you

What can we say other than what a great find….. well that’s just the start, Deborah was a lovely host, the place was beautiful, spotless and very conveniently located for the beach, town and other local amenities. On top of that we could take our dog……

Ed’s place is perfectly situated in the gorgeous historic setting of Hamilton Square which has a train station and ferry port taking you into the city in minutes! Ed’s place is right at the top but the views are so worth the climb! Bedding and towels beautifully clean, fresh and plentiful and furnishings are comfy and non-pretentious so you feel right at home. Ed is an attentive host, providing all you need after a long drive (sorry we didn’t eat the eggs!). He left out a parking permit for us and access was easy. Nearby Wetherspoons does a great brekkie and a walk around Woodside murals are lovely and views spectacular across the river. Nearby New Brighton, Vale Park, Birkenhead Park and Priory are worth visiting as well as is the city of Liverpool itself. Only thing we missed was a dining table but honestly that’s the only recommendation I can think of! Thanks so much Ed, we will be back 😊

Excellent location and Airbnb. Only a quick bus/uber in town and lots of lovely restaurants only round the corner too. Perfect for our stay, there was only 7 of us but the Airbnb fits many more. Definitely recommend, you won’t be disappointed. Rob and Lisa were lovely too!
