Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Southern Province

Was a nice stay at the Villa. And peshita was always there to help and for questions.

Amazing place. Great aesthetics. Sunita (the house care taker) was extremely warm and welcoming. Had a great time. Rooms are comfortable, AC worked well. Beautiful garden and pool. A small clarification that the jacuzzi is not heated. Location is great, a 15 minute walk from most restaurants, beaches and bars. The host is very responsive and caring. They had also provided a guide with restaurant recommendations and transport facilities. Happy with the price as well. Would recommend to those visiting Ahangama.

Fabulous villa for our two families of 4 adults and 4 children (all under 5). The pool was the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka with a guard on duty to clean daily as well as being located in a lush garden where we had water monitors, mongoose and eagles fly above us. Jayantha is a true master in the kitchen. Please order his dinners if you stay as they taste delightful as well as cheaper than out at restaurants. The breakfast was even better with different options each day (egg hoppers, pancakes, omelette plus fresh fruit and toast). If we return we would not hesitate to stay again.

We lived in Mother’s Nest for a month with our 2 children during Jan-Feb. This place is great, very private and secure with high walls. The pool is outstanding and the kitchen is extremely well resourced including a rice cooker and oven. The location is perfect with a short tuk tuk ride everywhere in the city. It is close to 2 great Montessori nurseries. The housekeeper lives on premises, just behind the main house. She is wonderful and so helpful. Sinili was super responsive throughout and coordinated things on the ground well. We would highly recommend this place for short or long stays and look forward to returning in the future.

Unser Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa war – wie auch schon bei unseren früheren Besuchen – einfach unvergesslich! Wir haben nun schon mehrfach bei dieser wundervollen Gastgeberfamilie übernachtet und wurden jedes Mal aufs Neue herzlich empfangen. Die Lage ist perfekt – nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt, und mit dem Tuk-Tuk ist man in Windeseile im Ort. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich hilfsbereit, freundlich und bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die gemütliche und herzliche Atmosphäre lässt uns jedes Mal wie zu Hause fühlen. Auf Wunsch konnten wir erneut das fantastische Essen der Gastgeber genießen – und es war wieder einmal das Beste, das wir in ganz Sri Lanka hatten! Frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und einfach köstlich. Besonders die Macaroni with Seafood sind jedes Mal ein Highlight! Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die nach einem entspannten und authentischen Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa suchen. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! 😊

We loved our stay in Ahangama thanks to Kamal’a beautiful home and hospitable family. The house is very comfortable and clean and very well equipped so we could cook some meals at home. The shared spaces are so nice to chill out with friends especially the living room and garden. Kamal was so attentive and kind and his wife made us some very tasty breakfasts. We would highly recommend staying here and would also love to return ourselves.

The villa is just amazing! And so is the front/back yard. You get into the house, and it just fees right. The place is very clean, everything is literally new. A manager welcomed us. He was super friendly and spoke to the point. And after that nobody bothered us. Nobody came to check on us. We just asked how to take out the trash and did it on our own. This is what privacy is all about. The internet speed is 150+ Mbps which is really enough. Thanveer hooked me up with a local bike rental company, and they provided us with a few cool bikes for a reasonable price. Any question? The response would always be prompt and on point. This place is one of those rare cases when the actual reality exceeds your expectations! My family is super grateful for such a warm stay as we happened to be the very first guests!

Gayana’s place was everything we hoped for and more! We were staying for a multi day wedding nearby and needed a clean easy place to sleep and get ready. Gayana and her lovely housekeeper ensured we had everything we needed and more! Including a delicious breakfast every day and assistance to one of the guests who has a visual impairment, which was so kind and appreciated. Beautiful house with a lovely pool - couldnt recommend more!

This is by far the best Airbnb experience I had, Shashika made all the difference on my stay, upon arrival I met him and his family organizing the house for our arrival, really kind and sweet people who later received us for an amazing lunch. Anything I would need for my stay Shashika was up to assist, from renting a bike to an additional fan I got within an hour. The house is beachfront and it’s really private and peaceful there, the morning walks were amazing. There’s a beachfront restaurant 5 minutes walking from the beach which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. In adicional shashika’s family offers breakfast which we ordered and it was great. The suits are comfortable with AC and comfortable beds. Nothing to complain but just to thank for the great hospitality trough the week.

It is impossible to sum up just how welcome we were made to feel from the minute we arrived until departure. The villa was beautiful and the pool exquisite- large to relax and swim and spotlessly clean . The inside exactly as described. But the experience was made special due to the wonderful staff, Gihan and his team, who could not do more to make the stay so special. Beautiful breakfasts showcasing Sri Lankan specialities and home cooked food for dinner if wanted for a reasonable cost. He also drove willingly to nearby Hikkaduwa so able to eat out on as many nights as one wanted. However they also respected guests desire for privacy - a difficult balance to achieve. They went above and beyond anything we might have hoped for. The villa is a little remote but one knows that before booking and the tranquility more than made up for the inability to walk to restaurants. I would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic 10-day break at this beautiful villa. The setting is amazing, overlooking the infinity of the Indian Ocean, with the calming sound of the crashing waves. The sea was too rough for a swim but the beach was perfect for a walk. The garden is lovely, the pool is a welcome escape from the heat and the house itself is spacious enough for everyone not to be in each other's way. We had so much fun during our stay - massages in the garden, wandering the neighbourhood and meeting the locals, visiting nearby beaches (Dickwella beach was our favourite, especially with young kids), safari, releasing baby turtles in the sea, boat trips, etc.... Last but certainly not least - the lovely staff. The hospitality offered by Suneetha, Ajith and Ari was truly special. They are all lovely and looked after us so well. Apart from the delicious food they prepared daily, they arranged our trips, transport, etc. It was hard to leave and tears were shed at the end. We'll be back, for sure!

Wir wurden von Anfang an herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort wohl. Die Villa liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung, der grüne Garten gibt einem das Gefühl, komplett für sich zu sein, die Atmosphäre ist super schön. Man ist ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht (AC, Wifi, Waschmaschine, usw.). Wenn wir etwas gebraucht haben, wurde uns sofort geholfen. Ein weiterer hilfreicher Pluspunkt ist zudem die Möglichkeit, sich einen (sehr guten) Scooter zu leihen, um die unzähligen schönen Strände, Cafés, Restaurants, etc. der Umgebung einfach und flexibel zu erreichen. Wir hatten außerdem noch das Glück, das leckere und umfangreiche Frühstück zu probieren - absolute Empfehlung! Sollten wir einmal wieder Sri Lanka bereisen, würden wir definitiv wiederkommen 😊

One of our all-time favourite accomodations, from over 40 countries visited. What we loved: - falling asleep with the sound of waves, which was perfect (not too loud, not too low) - our mornings and sunsets on the terrace of the building - the location inside the forest, and on top of the cliffs - nature all around us, with nice fauna (varan, monkeys, peacocks, small birds) visiting us. Don’t worry, there is nothing dangerous, they avoid people - The access to the cliff which is just a couple of steps away from the villas. Very good place for sunsets and meditation after - The pool is really nice for relaxing swimming at the end of the day - Near 2 beaches : Jungle beach (amaaaazing place) and Unawatuna beach, also very nice - Small cozy restaurants just outside the villas - A lot of space inside, very comfortable beds & pillows - The host and personnel are top-notch. Hospitality at next level. It was my wife’s 25th birthday and they helped us make it memorable. Great experience!

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Hikkaduwa. The property was clean, private, and surrounded by beautifully maintained greenery. The spacious rooms and bathrooms, along with the garden sitting area, were lovely. It also has a private kitchen with all the essentials, including a washing machine. The hosts were kind, humble, and very helpful. The beaches and eateries were within walking distance, which was a great bonus. However, light sleepers might be disturbed by the nearby railway track. Also, WiFi wasn't available during our July visit due to the off-season. The host informed us that wifi is not available in the off-season from April until September. Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay.
