what an incredible place this is. We biked here from Wellington and I've never had a more relaxing spa in my life, listening to the Tui and Piwakawaka as the sun went down. Then got the log burner going and had a cosy night resting the legs. I have already recommended this place to multiple friends! Magic

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic cottage. Tuhitarata Cottage is renovated and furnished with great care and good taste - a great balance between modern amenities and well-maintained original character. Thoughtful hosts who made the stay easy, and were particularly helpful with a couple of extra requests, including a dip in the pool very early in the season. Gardens and estate surrounding were all made available to us, and the whole family enjoyed wandering and exploring. Thanks, Rob and Janelle! We hope to come back some time.

Amazing spot for a peaceful break. Great restoration with some real character. Stargazing and walks nearby were a highlight. Land Girl shop is well worth checking out. Some notes for others - Strong cellphone reception. Solar power in kitchen for charging phones only. Wood fire was cozy and kept whole house warm, but is the only heating. Two burner stove and small Webber barbeque for cooking, good supply of pots and pans etc.

Jo and Zachary's place is the perfect, comfortable get away. the house is such a nice space, warm and cosy when needed, but also light & breezy when you open all the doors and let the sea air flow through. The house has everything you need to make your trip easy and comfortable. Wonderful views of the sea and enjoyed sitting under the stars at night. I would definitely come back again.

The Bumblebee Cottage was super cute and full of interesting pictures, decorations, magazines, books, beautiful china etc.. The pantry was very well stocked and I've never stayed anywhere with such a great selection of teas! It was very quiet and peaceful at night and in the morning we got to meet the chickens wandering around, before having freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Gail is a very friendly and helpful host, highly recommended!

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

We had a fantastic trip away and was the perfect place for me to propose to my partner, so quiet and secluded. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future.

We had a relaxing stay at Elaine’s cottage. The location was exactly what we needed, peaceful, quiet and surrounded in beautiful countryside amongst the vines. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog, with a fully fenced section for dogs and kids to play in. The cottage had everything we needed, and was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge. The cottage worked really well for our young family.

We had a fabulous time celebrating our mums birthday with a weekend of relaxation at Melleny and Simon’s place. We had 3 young children who had a blast with the toys/books/pool and outdoor activities (just be mindful of a steep staircase to the third floor but this was foretold to us) Lovely peaceful location and Melleny and Simon were wonderful hosts with prompt communication and reassurance to our queries. We will be back!

This was one of the loveliest Airbnbs I've stayed at. Lovely tranquil location with both sunrise and sunset views, the cottage is beautifully decorated and really warm and cozy, and it was so lovely being able to watch the stars from the outdoor bathtub at night! Absolutely loved our stay! :)

Great holiday spot. Immaculate for a holiday home with normal dust up high, probably to be expected for a less used family retreat. Be prepared to clean out the coffee machine before use, I have it a miss, and there is no real tv/streaming option for entertainment. Though it was a lovely place to be offline and enjoy local attractions and read books. Also a great location, and so well appointed. Enjoyed the kitchen facilities in particular.

Thanks Bruce! The place is super cosy and warm (we stayed in June) - newly renovated bathroom as well which is a treat! Felt right at home. Location is great - quick walk to the square and Bruce is so friendly, responsive, and respectful.

Hamden Estate is very clean and has everything what we want. Jo’s homemade olive oil and peach jam are awesome. David’s wine tasting was impressive. Their hospitality was excellent.They made our Martinborough visiting special.

Fabulous space if only we were able to stay longer unfortunately it was a last minute one night stay. We didn’t get to enjoy the wonderful garden.

Worth the 5 star review! Sally's place was charming with everything we needed for a wonderful long weekend; all the facilities were great and the bedrooms were cosy with plenty of blankets. The cottage soaks up the sun throughout the day, and for the colder evenings we enjoyed the fireplace. Sally is a wonderful host - in readiness for our arrival she had boiled the jug and kindly left a delicious carrot cake, and she brought another load of firewood to the cottage during our stay, We loved the rural location yet it's close enough to the townships of Martinborough, Greytown and Featherston. I highly recommend Sally's place and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage in farm. Very helpful. A bit difficult to find in dark. The only downside is that the cottage could not cope for 4 us to have hot showers in the morning. Still enjoyed stay and would recommend.

Amazing place! Private and tranquil - perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Rustic cottage was exactly as described, and despite being the middle of winter was super cosy and warm with the fire blazing. Beautiful surroundings - we loved the walk up behind the cottage and the views of the tararua ranges from the top of the hill. We honestly haven’t felt that relaxed in a long time! Will definitely be back!
