Cottage vacation rentals in South Bruny

We had a wonderful stay at the Hundred Acre Hideaway. The accommodation is clean and homey, and the barrel was amazing. Charlie was very welcoming and made sure we knew how to use the barrel.

We really enjoyed our couple of days at Michael's place. The house is great and the views are wonderful. The beautiful walking tracks from the property are an added bonus.

A fabulous climax to our 10 days in Tassie. Even with strong winds on the first day we were snug in this most private elegantly appointed ‘Boathouse’ with a 270 degree view of the bay through beautiful woodland. There was fresh bread and champagne for our arrival and a variety of pillow types for the bed, which was much appreciated. I saw from the guest book that there are regular visitors who come back every year - it’s no wonder and we hope to be back ourselves.

The property was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts were responsive. There was a small issue with a leaking tap but we managed to resolve it relatively quickly. The location is excellent for anyone who wants easy access to Huonville and Ranelagh. I would stay again.

We stayed a couple of nights in this beautiful house. It was so quiet having come from the city, and the tranquil waterfront property was just what we needed. Rohan let us know everything before we got there and it was just as advertised. Very relaxing and we'll come again.

The cottage was great, super cosy easy to warm with the fireplace or the electric heater. Very well equipped kitchen with a big fridge. Great peaceful location with lots of wildlife and amazing silent nights. We had a great time and would highly recommend the cottage. Jacqueline was super helpful, friendly and a great host. This was our second visit to Seagrass. It is the perfect location to unwind after a day exploring Bruny. The house is so cosy and comfortable and has everything you need, and we love being able to walk to the water. Thank you for everything!

This cottage was stunning with a beautiful uninterrupted view of the water and access to the beach. It is so comfortable, quiet with lovely touches in decor and furnishings. The garden is full of flowers and safe for our puppy who also enjoyed her stay running on the beach and exploring the little garden. We will definitely revisit this tranquil property in the future.

We had a memorable stay at Suhela’s comfortable and homely place. It is tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with beautiful artwork, books and comfortable furnishings. It is one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on! Such a peaceful place to get right away into nature! Thanks Suhela, we’ll definitely be back!

Swallows Rest is a lovely little house within walking distance to Adventure Bay. Anna was very accomodating and super responsive to all questions we had, and we felt at home right away!! Definitely would recommend to able bodied visitors, the bathroom may pose some difficulties if struggling with any mobility issues and the step into the bath is a little scary when wet even for able bodied visitors. Other than that, a really lovely stay and would highly recommend!

This place is just the sweetest place to stay. Sit on the balcony and watch the chooks by day and pademelons at night. Compact but everything I wanted kitchen. The coolest stairs and wood wall. Close to Woodbridge Village for brekky but also close to Birchs Bay Art Farm, Kettering and not far across to Cygnet too.

Lovely house with beautiful views and cosy wood heater as well as reverse cycle air-conditioning. Spacious lounge and deck with plenty of seating. Beds were comfy with warm doonas and extra blankets if needed. would definitely stay again.

Our stay was lovely, the cottage had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. So quiet and private within walking distance to the bay where we found a few little cafe/restaurants that were just lovely. Would stay here again if Tasmania was on our destination list once more.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We had a magical and relaxing time. Too many things to list of what we enjoyed but highlights were the beautiful view and amazing kitchen. The stove was a joy to cook on. Thank you for our lovely time at Three Little Fishes.

The place was well provisioned - and we appreciated the local fruit and beautiful jam and butter. The coffee, milk and hot chocolate selection was equally well curated. The record player was also a welcome bonus.

My family of four had a great weekend in Adventure Bay. Probably our favourite place for a long time, perfect location and lovely house. The only small issue we had was the third bedroom is separate to the house so had to lock my daughter in the bedroom at nighttime, but there was a window that linked to the main house so we were able to communicate through that. Having said that it wouldn't stop us visiting again, just perfect, and hope to visit again. House is minimally decorated and furnished, which suited us fine (we bought extra seating in from the deck or kids sat on the floor) and some games or books would have been nice, but its a small space so could have felt cluttered with more furniture and items. Love the house, the owners, the location and of course Bruny Island.

If you’re looking for a piece of heaven… well Judy’s place is it. Everything you dream of is there. Beautiful appointments and so pristine, with postcard views from the beautiful deck. You are minutes from the Bruny Island ferry. Judy is a fantastic host… providing some generous treats as well. Loved our stay so much..

It’s hard to describe how special this cottage was! So classic, so comfortable, charming, peaceful, cozy… sitting solitaire in the paddock made for great photos. I’ve never slept in more crisp fresh sheets. Sean is a birder and really enjoyed wandering the property and discovering new birds along with the pademelons hopping about. The bookshelves full of great books. This place will be forever with us. Bruny Island is quite special but to go back to the cottage in the paddock each evening was our highlight of the day! we had such a lovely stay here: beautiful views, very peaceful, so many different beaches to choose from. a lovely short bike ride to the cafe and hammock tree on the beach. The house was very comfortable, kitchen was very well equipped, good gas bbq, good shower, fantastic games room with an 8 ball table. we would definitely recommend. Ian was very helpful and responsive to our queries.
