This cottage has great proportions with a large lounge and kitchen area. The smaller separate bedroom is lovely too with a bath (only big enough for one person) and toilet in the room. We found the dappled light in both bedroom and living are absolutely calming, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The outside shower is hot and extremely enjoyable.

After week's of travel in Botswana with our 10 year old girls, Chris's bungalow and space was a mini oasis for our visit to Cape Town. The glorious setting, fabulous antiques, art, excellent kitchen, outdoor showers, wood-fired hot tub and having a million places to perch and just relax was near perfection. We were also so grateful to Chris for stocking the place with fresh fruit and other fabulous supplies that we didn't even really need to go out for food for a few days. We would recommend any of Chris's spaces to anyone who wants a home away from home with extra care, beauty and elegance.

Firstly, the pictures do not do this darling of a house justice! It is immaculate. We came for the weekend for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday and what a lovely time it is. Close enough to the beach and vibey places, but secluded enough that you can enjoy the peace serenity of the place. Karen was an amazing host! Very communicative, quick to respond and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay in Clifton with our family of 4. Shani's beach house was everything we could have wanted. Amazing location right on the quieter Clifton 3rd beach. The space itself is well laid out and very well equipped. Austin was very helpful on checkin and out. We hope to return soon and would definitely try to stay there again. Thank you.

Had a great stay with my family at Beata’s beach cottage! Peaceful and Friendly. A few steps and we were at the beach! My daughter was thrilled! Beata is a great host and her place was perfect for a family escape. Beata is always there when you need her but also gives you space to enjoy the space in peace. We truly appreciated her approach to hosting. Kommetjie is a hidden gem!

Charming little bungalow in a beautiful location set just back from the beach up an unmade road and with the most welcoming hosts who also provided us with a delicious braai one evening (extra cost). Super quiet and relaxing, and very comfortable beds.

This was an amazing stay! We frequently travel to Cape Town and were looking for something with awesome views of the ocean and a swimming pool. This house and its views are stunning! The place was amazingly well stocked with amenities and there was nothing that we lacked for our entire stay. The decor was clean and extremely tasteful. We spent our days on the beach, in the rock pools, going to Cape Point Nature Reserve and basking in the sun next to the pool. We spent our evenings admiring the stunning sunset over the Atlantic Ocean while our boys played in the pool. Thank you for a remarkable stay. I highly recommend this property!

Situated what seems like in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful! The pool is perfect to enjoy after a day of tanning & the place is beautiful, so well decorated & has everything you may need. PS the sourdough bread Simon’s son bakes is an absolute must try!! Thanks Simon we will be back.

Our stay at The Sink Shack was beyond incredible – it truly felt like stepping into a hidden paradise. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in peace, privacy, and pure nature. If you're looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect with what matters, this is the place. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to bring our dogs along. They were in absolute heaven – roaming free, exploring the area, and enjoying every minute of it just as much as we did. The hikes nearby are honestly some of the best we’ve ever done – stunning views, untouched nature, and total solitude. We felt like we had the trails all to ourselves. The shack itself is a dream – beautifully designed, super comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. You can feel how much care has gone into making this space welcoming and warm This place was more than we expected in every way. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our return. We loved our 2 night stay at KarMichael Farm. The Rose Cottage was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The views were so beautiful overlooking the farm. The heated blankets on the beds were fantastic as it was very chilly at night. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay in Himeville - it’s very close to the Glencairn Wedding venue too.
