Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Somerford Lagoon

We were hosted by Rebecca from 20th-23 June. The house was beautiful, well equipped and spotless. Really nice outside area to sit in the sun and admire the picturesque views of the lake. The dogs enjoyed walks around the lakes twice a day and it was a much needed break for us. My husband caught some colourful carp and tench. We would love to stay again and would recommend to others. The accommodation was superb! However, please note that we had booked it for a group of 8 men participating in the Ultra Challenge 53km charity walk. The group may have made a bit of noise, though we did our best to keep it to a minimum. We also tried to be mindful with the use of the hot tub.

Such a lovely place to stay with the family. There was plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained and the house was great to unwind in the evening. Our host was really helpful and responsive to any of our queries.

The house was just perfect. Clean, smart and fully equipped with good quality bedding, kitchen stuff and living area. Lovely touch of a treats parcel on arrival. Someone popped round to say hello and offer tips which was a lovely gesture. Comfortably fitted 7 people. So near a lake to swim in too, which was a magical bonus. We will definately be back.

Peglars barn was a truly beautiful place to stay. We visited for 2 days and it wasn’t long enough. The moment you walk through the doors the backdrop is jaw dropping and it doesn’t get old! I chose peglars barn as a place to propose to my now fiancé and it was perfect. Thank you Sophie for being a great host!

We had a family stay with two 18 year olds and 2 dogs. Lots to do with water sports right next door which you could walk to. Some lovely dog walks . Frannie is a great host she goes above and beyond. Lovely touch with the welcome basket. Has thought of everything in the lodge to make the stay comfortable. Such a lovely location. Would thoroughly recommend.

A well appointed and clean house. Lots to do; board games, tennis, kayaking, jacuzzii, barbecue, music, tv,… we were a family of 5 adults and had a lovely time.

We had a fantastic time! A beautiful home in a beautiful location. Cottage was pristine, & very well presented & homely. We loved our time in the Cotswolds & will definitely be back! A wonderful estate to stay in. We had a lot of fun. Thank you 😊

We knew the house would be amazing from the photos but we were absolutely blown away when we saw it! It is huge (especially the two main bedrooms) and we loved having the extra little lounge for the kids which was stocked with games and books. The outside space is incredible with wrap around decking and a huge bbq. Michelle responded very quickly whenever I sent a message and her instructions for how to find the house were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend the house and will be back next year!

Lovely stay. House was spotless and very spacious. The estate has great facilities (pool, spa, tennis courts, etc) and we loved having access to the lake for paddle boarding. Would recommend the private chef from Ballihoo on the estate. Alasdair was a very helpful and responsive host.

Ann's place is incredible- stayed for two nights and there is everything you could possibly need or anticipate in the house. We had a great time - the pool and hot tub were very clean and the house was perfect! Ann was extremely responsive and helpful. Would absolutely book again!

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Lovely clean place on a lovely site. There was a thoughtful little hamper of some food and milk and a treat box for our dog when we arrived which was a nice touch! Wish we had stayed longer, the pool and cafe were great! The terrace was massive with lots of chairs on and we’d love to come in the warmer months!

We’ve just got home from our stay and I must admit we’ve never stayed on a complex like this before. However we fancied something different, booked very last minute and it didn’t disappoint. It had everything you needed, good size, and great outdoor space with a gorgeous hot tub and the weather was perfect. On site you have the additional facilities, the lakes for lovely walks and we couldn’t resist the crazy golf. We were also very lucky to make some duck friends who made the stay even more perfect. We will definitely come back and stay here.

What a beautiful property! The decking and the outside space was so peaceful. From a morning cuppa to evening sun-downers, it was a fantastic view to enjoy. Lovely comfy garden furniture. Inside was exactly as described. Clean and well kept. Bed linen was excellent quality and comfortable beds. Good selection of books and games. Well equipped kitchen. A thoroughly fabulous property. Host was informative and helpful throughout. I would highly recommend. Thank you for a fab stay.

Lovely spot in friar woods , we did a bit of touring around the sites and even managed an evening in bath with a 20min walk to the train station - Jenny and Richard were both very acclimating and made our weekend lovely with ideas and just a lovely feeling, would love to come back and see more of the local walks etc

What a fantastic stay! In the heart of the Cotswolds, but also right in the center of the village where you can walk to the shops, cafes and pub. The house itself was beautiful, with a space between the two buildings to have dinner with the family. Tons of green space for the kids to run around and play. The building felt like it had history, but updated with modern kitchen and amenities. Couldn't recommend this stay enough for the whole family!

Wow... just wow! Best AirBnb house we ever stayed in, ever... Tina was such an excellent host, and her house is truly top of the class! 6 to 7-star if I can grade it so... Tina personally wrote a long and detailed welcoming note, which is such a nice touch. The house is filled with everything imaginable for a guest's comfort... everything from full breakfast in terms of bread, cereal, butter, milk, etc, to all kinds of amenities and kitchen utensils, to even firewood in the midst of summer! The house is so big yet cosy, all due to the great hospitality touch of Tina. Our family truly enjoyed every part of the house, from the very spacious living room, to the very functional kitchen, to the very lavish dining room, to the very modern and convenient bathroom, to the very comfortable bedrooms, to the very nice garden... we just enjoyed every moment in this house! Thanks so much for your hospitality, Tina... we really appreciate it!

Rosane was a wonderful host. Gave us clear instructions to get to the property and what we needed to do when we left (not much!). The property itself was stunning with beautiful grounds. We only stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in the area, but we would absolutely stay here again for longer if we are ever in the area again!

Beautifully done annex, equipped with everything you could possibly need. The outside views are stunning. There isn’t a dining table just a breakfast bar, but there is a table and chairs outside which we enjoyed using for our evening meals while watching the sunset over the fields. Alexandra was really helpful. We had a great stay and will be back!

Was exactly as it looked and was described. Is a great location for kids, lots to do.

We had an amazing Easter family break at Liam and Alice’s cottage . A real treat and ticked all the boxes for what we needed .

Lovely cosy cottage in a quiet street in a gorgeous Cotswold village. Slept 5 very comfortably and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The host was responsive and answered our questions well in advance and gave lots of information and suggestions about the area. We'd stay again, thank you.
