1845 School House in the Heart of Pultneyville

Fully renovated in the spring of 2021. According to the Pultneyville Historical Society, the first school, a small crude building, was built on this site in 1808. It burned in 1816 and was replaced by a larger schoolhouse. The cobblestone building was built in 1845 and served as a school until 1943 when the Williamson School District centralized. It is now a private residence. Notice the cobbles set at an angle. A metal bar circles the building as reinforcement — a modern addition.

Serenity on Sodus Bay

Our trip to Sally's place was great. We were two families of four doing a long weekend trip. The home was very clean and we had plenty of sleeping room with the 3 bedrooms upstairs and the addition of the basement area that had a great set up for the kids to sleep and hang out. The location of the home was close to great restaurants and the Marina. It is in a really nice neighborhood with other homes nearby, so you really have to mind your P's and Q's and prepare to be stared at by the neighbor on the right. That really wasn't a problem for us at all, but it was a little strange. Sally was a great host and was able to accomodate all our requests. She even was able to give us a couple extra hours on the end of the trip since no one was coming in after us. That made our clean up and packing SO much less stressful. Thank you Sally ! Sending... The photos do not do this place justice - we snuck down for a long weekend with 3 teenagers, there was more than enough space for them to relax and do their thing - and also plenty to do for entertainment - ping pong/ air hockey/ darts... etc.! Place is spotless, views on water are perfect and unobstructed - this is a beautiful and quiet spot .... I wish we could have stayed longer and are planning to return without a doubt! If you are familiar with the area - this is less than a 1/2 mile walk to the town/ restaurants/ old lighthouse .... and less than 1/2 a mile to Kaitlynn Marine... maybe a mile to Tidesides. We were able to use the dock associated with the house for our boat - making it super easy! This was an ideal spot for a great weekend - so appreciate the attention to detail/ responsiveness .... and all of the above! thank you!

This place was perfect, just what I needed for space and amenities. It was exactly as pictured and described. The location was better than I had anticipated. I chose it because it was close by to an event I was attending. I was pleasantly surprised to see arrive to such a cute little town rich within history. I took advantage of the hosts recommendations of local places to visit. Most are within walking distance. I especially fell in love with the Colloca winery! The cabin I rented was dog friendly. This is also a great spot for dogs. There is a large grassy yard out back. I do plan to visit this area again and would definitely stay here again.

A welcoming porch area features a white wicker seating set, complemented by a patterned rug. Lush green plants and vibrant pink flowers enhance the space, while views of Sodus Bay and the marina are visible in the background.

This was our second stay at Emily’s place. Not only is it right on the water but also centrally located that you can walk just about anywhere. The house is beautiful! This was our second time, and we only wanted a one night get away just to get out of Rochester, and Emily was more than willing to accommodate that which was very kind of her. It’s a great place to just go with your spouse or with a group of friends since there are several bedrooms. Emily’s attention to detail is top notch! Can’t wait to get back to this serenity in the near future!
