Monthly Rentals in Snæfellsnes

The cottage is located in an extremely picturesque and peaceful location. It was immaculately clean but only had very basic cooking facilities. I would have welcomed a small bbq and a washing machine. I would highly recommend the cottage for people looking for a beautiful location. Please note the cottage is 45mins drive from Borgarnes.

This is an authentic stay, one that might be overlooked but shouldn’t be if you are wanting a place to stay close to the peninsula. Fjola is deeply connected to her family land and she is so kind. The home is remote by US standards but that’s part of the charm. The view from one of the bedrooms is unforgettable. We enjoyed the goats and cat that visited us each morning and evening.

This was my second to last night on a week long ring road trip around Iceland and it was one of my favorite stays. I booked last minute the morning of and the host was accommodating. I knew from images that it was nice, but when I arrived I realized the tiny house was brand new! Everything was well thought out from kitchen amenities to blackout shades around the entire home to complimentary vanity kits in the bathroom. The space was chic, clean and so comfortable! The view overlooking the ocean is simply amazing as well! One suggestion is to hit the grocery prior to heading out - I was just there for a night, but most of the restaurants within a 30 minute drive close early and open late.

Absolutely stunning place. Best hot-tub views ever.
