Zwinhuis: holiday villa by the sea

The Zwinhuis is located at a unique location adjacent to the sea and nature reserve ’t Zwin. In the spring of 2020, the house was completely renovated by the architectural firm SunMotion. The villa is perfect for a nice holiday with the family. The garden is all around the house, so you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day. The beach and dunes are a 5-minute walk away. The sophisticated seaside town of Knokke and the culture city of Bruges are within cycling distance.

Villa in an oasis of peace, and near the coast

Our villa is fantastically located in the green and extremely quiet Terhofstede, a small hamlet of Retranchement, 2 km from the nature reserve Het Zwin, 5 km from the beach of Cadzand-bad and the picturesque Sluis and 8 km from the fashionable Knokke. Our large garden (about 600 m²) is completely facing the south. From sunrise to sunset you can enjoy the sun in the garden and on the terrace, whether or not under our nut tree or our fig tree.

The house was very neat, modern and large. We have enjoyed the many bike paths that already start at the domain itself. The only downside for us was that we think you have to leave the house quite early on Sunday (11 a.m.). You can't get in until 4pm on Friday and check out back on Sunday at 11am, this is pretty short for a weekend. But definitely recommended!

A very special location to stay. Really super nice to stay in this water tower, with a huge view over Vlissingen, which are equipped with all the comforts. Except then a key for the back gate. It was described in the email, but we couldn't find it. Not that it was very difficult because the in front of the door was easily accessible from the private parking spaces. All in all, a very pleasant stay and if I came back with my comrades in Vlissingen, we know where we are going to. Regards, Raymond

very good accommodation with moderate pool access (a few hours during the day is a shame ). 1 master suite downstairs and 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs very well.... on the other hand steep staircase! be careful of the elderly!! there was a microwave, not enough salad bowls for 8 and the cleaning was very quick. Possibility to park 2 cars in the driveway... very convenient!

Cozy and clean little house, with very well equipped kitchen. The complex was quiet and there is a lot of leisure offer, which we did not use because we were mostly by the sea. The only drawback was the beds, which were a little soft. I'd love to come back at any time
