Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Slotervaart

We loved our stay at Mabel’s cottage while we visited the Netherlands to celebrate my bachelorette! The house has a good mix of seclusion and convenience: there aren’t many neighbors nearby, which offers a good amount of privacy. It is also conveniently located right across the street from the train station - which is two stops (~15 minutes) to Amsterdam Central Station. If you wish to visit a different city other than Amsterdam on your stay, Haarlem was ~20 minutes and is another very cute and quaint city. The home was decorated beautifully and was maintained very well. Nonetheless, Mabel made us all feel right at home and was quick to respond whenever we had a question. I would highly recommend staying here - thank you again Mabel for hosting us!!

Very warm welcome from Ruud and Peter, immediate help with lifting. The house was completely as expected, and a little better. A lovely bed, wonderfully fresh-smelling bedding and towels. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet location. Definitely value for your money .. and I'd love to come back. Thank you !!

The apartment is great, but the absolute highlight is the terrace on 3 sides of the house, right on the water. The large glass fronts in the living room give a view of the water, which makes the apartment special even in cool temperatures. The only downside is that you don't want to go on a trip, but just want to stay in the apartment.

Joost and his wife are particularly welcoming. Their warm side helped make our stay familiar and friendly. Excellent bedding. Perfect cleanliness. Breakfast brought every morning with a smile was carefully prepared, good and hearty. This moment was an opportunity to chat a little with an open and caring couple. The apartment, easy to find - is extremely pleasant, well furnished, accessible and in a green and peaceful setting. The tram that takes us to the city center and the Museum district is a 3-minute walk and the trams are frequent. We didn't regret not being in the city center at all Everything was positive. We would recommend Joost and his wife's apartment without hesitation.

Hugo was the perfect host from check in to check out. He was a wealth of knowledge and his property is truly stunning. We cycled from Dunkirk and after 3 days of hard cycling wanted somewhere nice to relax. This place did just that. Hugo was very accommodating and couldn’t do more to help. Thankyou Hugo for being a credit to Airbnb. ( your dog is nice too! )

Joost was an amazing host to me and my family! It was the first time that we were traveling abroad with our 11mo son and he made us feel right at home- even had a travel crib set up upon arrival. The location is very convenient - right above a coffee shop which Joost gives vouchers for :) very walkable and overall great space!

Ruben's sweet ground Level Flat was perfectly Situated for our 2 night stay in Amsterdam. Located literally around the corner from the Rijksmuseum and the major tram stops it was so easy to get around. The space is clean and bright. We really appreciated the quiet backyard Patio after a day of exploring Amsterdam. We would stay again.

Amazing stay! Absolutely perfect place to get away and only a short bicycle ride into town. Saskia and Tijmen were amazing hosts and extremely helpful with everything we needed. Absolutely would recommend. Thanks again!

We had a great stay in Tesse's and Tim's apartment and instantly felt at home! The apartment is located in a quiet area, but is still well connected by bus and tram. A supermarket is within walking distance. The communication with the hosts was very friendly and we received feedback quickly.

The place was very clean and there was everything necessary. If you have any questions or the like, the host was easy to contact and got back to you very promptly. The arrival went smoothly and the check-in was explained to us in detail in advance. After check-in, we were also personally welcomed by the host and all our questions were answered and tips for our time in Amsterdam were given. All in all, it was a great stay where we felt very comfortable and welcome. We recommend the accommodation as well as Amsterdam again and again :)

This is a fantastic airbnb in Amsterdam. The location is very convenient and everything is within easy walking distance. The apartment is extremely comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated. It provided everything we needed without any unnecessary clutter . The beds are very comfortable. Agnes was very responsive to all the questions we had before arriving to Amsterdam. We were welcomed at the apartment by Sander. He was very friendly and warm while informative and clear explaining how things work in the apartment. We really enjoyed our five nights stay and will plan to stay here again at our next visit to Amsterdam. We highly recommend it. .

Fabulous place in the heart of Amsterdam! Easy to walk to most places, and the tram was close if you want to venture out further. Our family enjoyed people watching from the big open Dutch windows. Very beautiful location. Hosts were friendly, and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Nice place to stay, close to public transportation

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

We had a wonderful time in this beachfront accommodation. The location is fantastic and the area offers many opportunities for recreation and exploration. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful – their tips for excursions and activities were very valuable. The apartment itself is very luxuriously furnished and equipped with everything you need. We felt completely comfortable and can absolutely recommend this place!

The location of this Airbnb is excellent — situated in a quiet neighborhood that made for a peaceful stay. The studio is small but cozy, featuring a comfortable bed and a shower with great pressure and temperature. Since the apartment is in the basement, you could occasionally hear noises from the residence above, but it was never a major disturbance. One of the best parts is that it’s right next to a lovely park, making it super walkable. Plus, you can easily walk to many of Amsterdam’s main attractions from here, which is very convenient. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if I return to Amsterdam.

We had a great time in this sweet apartment. We loved sitting in the living room overlooking the canal and appreciated the great shower and overall layout of the apartment. The location is fantastic. Very residential and more peaceful than other parts of the city we have been to. We highly recommend it!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

Henri our stay was very nice and the personal touch like ,fruit,beard,eggs etc in the fridge and the other personal touches in the flat made us very welcome,if we come to Amsterdam again i would definitely stay there,it was excellent.thankyou mel & henri for allowing us to share your home with us . We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

Our stay with MorningStar in Amsterdam was absolutely exceptional. The home was pristine, beautifully designed, and full of luxurious touches that made our three-night stay unforgettable. We arrived to find thoughtful treats like fresh fruit and chocolate waiting for us—such a warm welcome! The location was perfect: central, quiet, and incredibly walkable, which made it easy for our family of four to explore the city. Every detail exceeded our expectations.
