Beautiful home with amazing view. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare food. The basement bathroom was awesome and we enjoyed the bathtub. However be very careful of the slope going up to the house during winter, if there is ice and snow it may be tricky to drive up.

I’ve stayed in many incredibly beautiful Airbnb properties over the years across the world. Bodil and Robert’s cabin “Fredheim” is the best I’ve ever stayed at and they are incredibly kind hosts. Putting aside the absolutely stunning location (which is also centrally located in Lofoten), the cabin is perfectly sized and adorned with everything you might need for a short or long stay. If you want perfection, stay at Fredheim. You won’t regret it.

The accommodation has everything you want. Everything was very clean and you felt right at home. We definitely recommend the place. The porch with closed windows, which is ideal for watching the northern lights ( we were lucky enough to see them on 3 evenings). If we're in Lofoten once again, we'll be sure to come back here.

We had a delightful two-night stay. Check-in was a breeze, and our private room was spacious and comfortable. Håkon, our friendly host, promptly responded to our messages. The bathroom and kitchen were always spotless and well-maintained. We highly recommend this place for families or groups seeking a peaceful retreat in Norway.

Jannicke and Magnus have a magical cabin where you can see the Aurora directly outside the cabin, and you can even see the Aurora reflected on the water. This cabin can satisfy all the fantasies of Nordic life, kayaking, Jacuzzi & sauna. We bathed in the Jacuzzi while enjoying the Aurora, and even turned off the lights in the sauna to see the Aurora dancing directly. Jannicke and Magnus are very kind. After I booked the cabin, they provided me with very practical information, especially car rental suggestions. AWD is a MUST must in winter. When we checked in, they explained the use and precautions of various facilities in the cabin very carefully. We spent a few days in the cabin and were very reluctant to leave. I hope we can come back here to enjoy it next year.🙂

The house is totally recommended, it was the best place to stay of our 3 week trip. The view of the Eidsfjord is fantastic and it is absolutely quiet. It is equipped with everything you need and more, there is plenty of space with cozy seating areas. We explored the car from there in total Langoya, as well as Hadseloya. In Sortland you are in 20 minutes, there is also a small supermarket in the next village, in Holmstad. Karl-Christian is a great host, he takes great care of his guests, is helpful and gives tips if desired. For us, staying in this house with its magnificent views was one of the highlights of our trip!

Arctic Lofoten Retreat - Enjoy the silence!

Lofoten is a busy place full of tourists during the summer, but Runes place offers a magical experience away from the main tourist pack, but location is great to everything! We stayed in Runes house with our 3 kids (9,11 and 14) and enjoyed every afternoon coming back to the quietness. The kids can try to catch crabs outside the outside the house while the adults enjoys the view or go swimming outside the house! This is a unique place and the standard on the house is incredibly! Wake up with be midnight sun rising outside the bedroom is amazing! Rune is very polite and knows Lofoten inside out! Don’t forget to book a boat trip with him! We will come back! Thanks for letting us staying with you!

We adored Calum's house. As soon as we walked in, we felt at home. Calum provides everything you need and more for a stay in Lofoten. The house is well made, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. Hands down, our favorite aspect of the house was the hammock for lounging! The beds are very comfortable and we got great sleep. We also loved watching the birds at the feeders out of the kitchen window. The neighborhood was quiet and we took nice walks around and out to the jetty by the Norwegian Sea. Additionally we took a snowshoe with Paul from Polar Folk, a friend of Calum's, and we had an incredible time with our 8 year old. Thanks again for an unforgettable stay at your home. As our daughter said, it was worth taking three planes to get there!

This is the luckiest cottage where we see the Aurora and there is a famous walking trail close to the house.We walk along the small road for about 300 meters, which is great for viewing the aurora.The room is clean and tidy, fully equipped with facilities, and the sea view is beautiful.

The place is really beautiful. Small but have a minimalistic solution hence not cramp. It got a good sized balcony with a very nice view from it. The place is very accessible and walking distance to town proper and airport. The host is very responsive and very considerate. Really worth the money, we will choose to be back here and very highly recommended. Thank you :) and my daughter also has enjoyed it.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the property. The positioning of the home allows for inside viewing of the Northern Lights. We also were treated to a NL performance in the spa! If you are looking to relax and seek calm, this is your place.
