Vacation rentals with beach access in Skaleta

We recently stayed at this Airbnb for an autumn vacation and, overall, it was a pleasant experience. The house is clean, well-maintained, and the location is convenient for exploring the area. The amenities provided were more than adequate, and everything functioned as expected. One thing to note is that the hosts live on-site, which isn’t necessarily a problem, but their presence was definitely felt compared to other Airbnbs we stayed in so far. Nevertheless, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a well-kept, dog friendly space with hosts who are nearby to assist.

Just left Chania yesterday 19/09/24 , we stayed one week on Aggeliki’s apartment, We are very lucky to choose this place as it was the best area in Chania , the apartment was very clean with everything you need, close to best sandy beach there , close to old town & harbour, super markets, restaurants ….Very good beds. Everything spotless, Aggeliki the best host , very kind & helpful. We had a great time, nice weather, hope to go there again.

This was our first time in with them know, and we were somewhat sold on Stratos offering because of it being a Seaview apartment. It was right across from the beach. It was well appointed clean modern two doors opening to the balcony that faced the ocean, a wonderful Nespresso machine with coffeejust great and Stratos met us when we checked in. We got to meet him in person. It was just a great overall experience.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at the end of October. The weather played along. For a week, nothing but sunshine and blue skies. The apartment corresponds exactly to the description. Great location, good furnishings and very nice reception at check-in. We also got good tips for restaurants and shopping. All in all, a clear recommendation! We would come back.

Nice apartment, well located close to the beach and within walking distance to the old town. Some noise from the street, but not disturbing. Nice view from balcony.

We had a great stay here! We visited before the summer season had begun and there were not many places open but the host was helpful in finding some places that were open to eat!

Lovely little apartment right on the beachfront with direct access to the beach. Great facilities and quiet area with easy walking distance to shops, tavernas and bakery. Very helpful hosts and parking very close by for the hire car. Hot water availability seemed a bit hit and miss but in Crete temperatures this was not really a problem. Everything you need is there and waking up to the stunning beach view every morning was a joy.

Sandgate is in a lovely location, quiet yet close to restaurants, cafes, shops and town! The apartment is large and comfortable with a great terrace overlooking the sea. Communications were excellent!

Sometimes it’s such a cliché to say “the photos did not do it justice “ but this is one of those rare occasions when it really does apply.. The Villa Tile is the perfect place for a couple or small family and has everything within a few metres.. the beach literally is on you back door step, next door is a beach bar with a pool which you are welcome to use. The hosts went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us during our stay, even undertaking some emergency sewing and pillow adjustments when we said that the pillows were a little too firm for our liking… We are already planning to come back in May 2025 and hope to use the Villa Tile again.

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

We had a lovely stay at Katerina's place. She welcomed us personally and was always very kind. We felt at home for all the days we stayed there. Chania old town was a bit farther than expected but the two beaches close by were calm and really amazing! We stayed there with our one year old and were able to enjoy the jacuzzi while he was sleeping close by

We had a really nice stay at Georgios place. Enjoying the seaside view while having breakfast on the terrace is amazing. The flat was clean and we found everything we needed. Would love to come back

Highly recommend! A quiet area, close to everything. We stayed here start of October with our 14 yr old and 3 month old son. The apartment looks like the photos, very clean andy tidy. Very comfortable bed, was huge 💛. We had asked for a cot, which was there. The pool was lovely, very refreshing, solar heated. We were the only ones using it, due to out of main season, an unexpected luxury. The beach is a mix of sand and stones, literally just outside the gate. Within 10 mins walk is a supermarket, pharmacies, a patisserie with huge pain au chocolates - highly recommend, they also had pastries (cheese and bacon, mushroom and ham etc). If you walk along the sea front for about 20mins get into Gournes which has several beach bars, and restaurants/ cafes, we went to Taverna ambrosia, very good even had a baby change area (not everywhere has these) and soft play at the back. It’s a 45 min walk to the Creta aquarium, definitely worth a see. Ioannis arranged several taxis for us.

Giannis and Maria's place is the perfect holiday place if you're looking for peace of mind, quiet and privacy, an amazing beach and tavern in walking distance, and the beautiful city of Chania just 20 minutes away, with all you can ask for! We highly recommend this warm and spacious home with beautiful views, and will definitely come back!

It feels like home as soon as we arrived at Grigoris's place. We were welcomed by Christina (Grigoris mom, hope we got the name right). Christina was super friendly and helpful through our stay. She brought to us some home cooked Greek pastries and biscuits next day and we loved them. The house looks and feels better than the photos. Beautiful sea view in a quiet area. We felt so relaxpastIt has everything you need to enjoy your stay there. Great place for a family. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back. Lots of lovely memory. A big thank you to Konstantinos for our stay in Crete. The accommodation is simply great, with a pool with stunning views of the mountains, a real asset for unforgettable moments of relaxation. The village where the house is located is also very welcoming, we highly recommend the tavern at the entrance to the village for its delicious specialties. We were also delighted by the attention of Konstantinos, who spoiled us with a fridge filled with fresh fruit, delicious homemade jam pots and, of course, Raki. All of this went a long way in making our stay idyllic. Thanks again for everything. We will keep a great memory of this experience.

Argyri and her husband were the best hosts I've ever stayed with, and the apartment was absolutely flawless: excellent location, close to the old city, restaurants and the beach The apartment had absolutely all the facilities: there was nothing we needed and not exist in the home. Furnished modernly and with great taste, the apartment is bright and welcoming, with a large terrace where you can drink coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The hosts welcomed us with a cake, with fruits, wine and juices in the fridge, and upon departure they gave us local honey. Very friendly, they spent time with us and explained to us the best places to eat, what to visit around the city and in the city. it was everything I could have wished for and I can't wait to come back for a much longer period with my daughter. My boyfriend and I visited during Christmas time(2024). She had filled the apartment with Christmas lights and decorations, which after a long day of traveling, immediately put us in the holiday spirit. She was very easy to communicate with and after learning of my boyfriends love of pizza she provided us with a personalized list of the best pizzas around town. There was also a booklet in the apartment with a rundown of the city(history, restaurants, sightseeing, etc) which is helpful to anyone visiting from another country. Would definitely come back to Chania as well as this apartment! Thank you Katerina!

Chrisi is an excellent hostess! She was always helpful and always in a good mood and friendly. The apartment is perfect for excursions, but also perfect for the beach around the corner. In addition, there is everything you need to live and there is even a small bottle of Raki in the fridge to welcome you. We will come back here again!! Brigitte and Peter

I had a wonderful 12 day stay at the apartment. The location is great - just a few meters from the beach and still 15 minutes to the old town. Checking in with a key box and description was super easy. The host was always extremely responsive. And I mean really fast- I never waited more than a few minutes for a response. He helped me with all the questions and concerns and even lent me an umbrella and got me a yoga mat for my time. Really very helpful and always on site! The apartment is cozy. The bed is very comfortable (I always think that's important!). The sofa is a bit saggy - but it didn't bother me. The kitchen is quite well equipped. There is a real stove, toaster, kettle and microwave (which I didn't use). The balcony is large and you have sun in the morning until early afternoon. There is also a washing machine on the 2nd balcony!

What a great spacious apartment and even better location,.. and with a panoramic sea view from the spacious balcony/terrace. What more do you need? And chose Kalamaki over Matala (just visit) if you want to relax.

We spent four very nice days here. The view is really beautiful and in 10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket. In front of the house you could park well.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

We really enjoyed being guest at Dimitris place. The apartment is very cosy and welcoming. The kitchen was very well equipped (oil, vinegar, spices, sugar, coffee).
