Vacation rentals in Skala

We had a great week at the Villa. Great location with fabulous views over Skala and across to Zakinthos. You do need a car to get into the town but it’s only a five minute drive and the seclusion at the house makes it worthwhile. Plenty of bars , restaurants within a few minutes and local beaches are good for early evening sun and refreshments!

Zoe’s Suite is perfect for a couple! It has everything you would need - fully equipped kitchen, secure parking, aircon, king size bed, luxurious shower room - and we had a very comfortable stay. Above all else, it has the most stunning sea views that we enjoyed looking out at all throughout the day, from the moment we woke up in bed to when we had our meals outside. The villa is situated in a great location, just a 10 minute drive from large supermarkets, the main town of Argostoli, and most importantly one of the best sandy beaches in Kefalonia (Makris Gialos)! The village of Lakithra is peaceful and quaint, with a few restaurants, a bar and a delicious pastry shop (Antonis) down the road that you have to try for traditional delicious pastries/cakes. All interactions with Clayde, Panagis and Nancy from HostingMe were great - prompt, friendly, accommodating! We really can’t recommend Zoe’s Suite enough, you’ll love your stay!

Lovely place to stay for a beach holiday - just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and mini-market. The neighbourhood was quiet and pleasant. The apartment had everything we needed - nice sized bedrooms and bathroom, airy (we didn't use the aircon) and a well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of storage space and good provision of linens and towels. Our host was responsive and helpful.

The apartment is in a lovely spot, facing the town square and beside the beach and sea to the left and the main pedestrianised road to the right where there are lots of shops and resturants. Christophers place was fabulous, it was well laid out, clean, air conditioned and had everything you need. It was serviced during our one week stay, with fresh bedding and towels. Christopher was a perfect host, who met us and also came to say goodbye, helping by taking our luggage to and from the taxi. He was warm, gracious and generous, and we had a discount for our meals at the restaurant Flamingos below and was also gifted wine. The resort was lively, but great for people watching from the balcony and seeing life go by. We were not disturbed by noise or music outside with windows closed and air con on. We loved the visiting cat to the balcony, who we named Dotty, she only wanted a bit of attention, which we gave. Skala was like stepping back in time, calm, beautiful sea, such friendly people.

We had a great stay at this beautiful, peaceful villa. It looked just like the photos and had everything we needed, even some snacks and a bottle of wine on our arrival. The location was perfect. Stunning views from the pool, Isolated enough to feel quiet and private, but only a short drive to the beaches and restaurants. Our host was friendly and provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the island. She also responded quickly when we had a minor issue and got it sorted right away. Much appreciated! It's worth noting that the advertised jacuzzi is not a hot tub, only jets in the unheated pool. We were slightly disappointed to discover this, but it did not detract from our stay at all

Our adult family stayed here for 10 days. It was a superb setting with great views, Very quiet. The villa was most comfortable and had plenty of space. The outdoor area and pool was great. Skala was close by for good restaurants. We had a memorable stay. Highly recommend, Kristin

This was such a fantastic stay. The house is absolutely beautiful and the host was communicative and helpful throughout our entire week in Skala. He sent us many recommendations and was quick to respond if any needs came up. They also refreshed the rooms twice throughout the week which was a very pleasant surprise. The area is more quiet than other areas around the island but we enjoyed the relaxation. Highly recommend.

A fantastic 2 week stay in this lovely home. Very spacious, quiet, lovely surroundings, a kitchen with everything you need, great bathroom, comfy rooms, airy sitting room, excellent aircon, lovable cats! We loved Skala, with it's friendly and welcoming people, great restaurants/bars at fair prices, fantastic beach within a few minutes walk. Felt very chilled out here, Panos was a great host and we would love to return here without hesitation! Nothing to fault, recommend 100%!
