We loved our stay in this home. It was not too far out from the nearest town with a gas station and some restaurants and grocery story (beware that you're a bit limited on Sundays as places close early). We hit a snow storm while there, so the host brought out a tractor to plow, which FYI the road leading to the home is a bit bumpy with the washboard bumps. Super easy checkin, door was open and key on the table. The home was spacious with a large living room and kitchen/dining room for our party, enough rooms and beds for everyone, a couple of toilets and one shower. We had to space out our showers due to the electric water heater taking a bit to warm up. It was a great and spacious property, so fun for my girls to play in the snow. We had a very comfortable stay here and would stay again.

L’environnement est exceptionnel, nous avons apprécié le temps passé auprès des chevaux dans cet immense champ de lave. Helga est une hôte attentionnée et charmante, je ne peux que recommander 👌

I really enjoyed my stay at this remote house. It was quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature and the hosts were great!—One of the best parts was seeing the Northern Lights right from the property. It was a magical experience. I would definitely come back again!

Clean and comfortable home in the middle of Vik. A short walk to a wonderful burger joint/brewery and the Lava show. This place was ideal for our family with our toddler because it was all one level, a few toys were available and crib and high chair were also available for our use. We hope to visit again.

So glad we were able to book this place when we did. Location was superb and just what we needed during our trip — right by the Víkurfjara Black Beach. The place is as it looked in the photos. As it was by the beach, we needed a broom/vaccuum to clean the floor due to the sand that got in because of our luggages. But Samuel was very responsive to our request and got that easily sorted out. Amenities provided were very mich sufficient for our stay. Thanks, Samuel, for providing us with a home during our 4 day-stay in Vík!

We had a magical stay at Sjornohall! The unique setting amongst the moss covered pseudo-craters feels like it’s from a movie and the views of the Northern Lights were breathtaking. The locations makes a great base for visiting Vik, as well as visiting the National Park with ice cave tours. Audur is thoughtful, kind, and very responsive. She even let my kids meet her chickens, horses, and dogs which was a highlight of our stay for them. The house had every amenity we could have needed, as well as many unique extra touches. We hope to return again some day!

Cabin has everything you wish to find in small cabin. View from dining space to the lake was breathtaking during breakfasts and dinners. We liked the vibes of cabin so much. Living room and both sleeping spaces were comfortable. Walls were a little thin, but it was ok for us.

Wir haben die Unterkunft sehr spontan aufgrund von Planänderungen gebucht. Wir könnten nicht glücklicher darüber sein! Das Haus war eine sehr tolle Unterkunft. Alles sauber und modern eingerichtet. Sowohl im Bad als auch in der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Zudem wurden wir sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen, Gastfreundschaft wird hier groß geschrieben! Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen und wenn wir nochmal nach Island kommen, werden wir das Haus gerne nochmal buchen!

The location and view is fabulous. A short drive from Vik was worth this gem. I was sad we couldn’t stay in the area longer. Such a peaceful spot to be.
