"Huset på Bakken" is located on the narrow strip of land between the sea and the mountains in Ullsfjorden. Here you can enjoy quiet days with the family or challenge yourself on short or long trips. From the house there is a nice view of the fjord and the mountains in all directions. There are several places with easy access to the Lyngsalpan landscape conservation area, with Jiehkkevárri (Jæggevarre) at 1834 m.a.s.l. as the highest peak. There are nice conditions to see the Northern Lights in winter because there are no street lights that disturb.

Authentic and Romantic Lodge close to nature

Authentic and romantic lodge originally built of timber and used for the first time back in 1850 as housing for as many as 10 persons. Situated between the sea and the forest and with the northern light as only light in the dark season this might be the perfect place to enjoy North of Norway. The cabin is situated on the roof of the tunnel to Malangen and just by the seaside. The living room has great windows that give you a feeling of being outside when are sitting warm and comfortably inside. Perfect for spotting for the northern lights. Gamtunet - idyllic cabin - spectacular location

Gamtunet is a charming old log house with a top modern architectural extension including all commodities. The view is spectacular encompassing the Lyngen landscape from the view to the Ulsfjord to the alpine peaks of Trollvasstind, Sofiatind and the Jiehkkevárri massif. We still have lots of snow in the mountains so it looks like skiing will be good all through May at least.
