Cottage vacation rentals in Sierra de Cordoba

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay here en route through Spain. The staff were so accommodating and lovely. Nothing was too much bother. The food was lovely and they were so accepting and accommodating with our Ridgeback Delilah. We would definitely return if we do the road trip again.

Great house with garden just a short walk away from the city, in the mountains. The hosts are lovely and attentive from before check-in, offering very useful information, to the end. They take care to resolve any small issues that may arise and to renovate and complete the details of the house. We had a fantastic few days

A good house also for a longer stay. From the village you can reach Cordoba in 20 minutes; Seville, Granada, etc. are about the same distance (just under 2 hours). The house is cozy, especially for a larger group, several lounges. The pool was cleaned and refilled daily and Enrique was very kind and ready for individual requests more towels, delayed departure).

Simply put, we spent a few days in the paradise. The accommodation is an ideal place in the middle of nature to disconnect, but very close to the City. Totally recommended. Gregorio a super host.

We were a family of three generations with 4 children, 8 and under. We all had a wonderful, relaxing time. The large, spectacular pool was ideal for adults and children and the small shallow area allowed the youngest children to play safely. The veranda provided welcome shade for breakfast and lunch and a magical setting to dine, overlooking the illuminated pool and garden on balmy evenings. The house was spacious and well equipped, including a large barbecue in the garden, and the air-conditioning was effective. Ana was welcoming and responded quickly to any requests. Temperatures reached the high 30s most days, but we avoided the mid afternoon heat and took full advantage of the warm evenings. Castro del Rio is very different from the coastal tourist hotspots but has several restaurants, a couple of supermarkets and a picturesque centre around the castle. Cordoba and large supermarkets are a short drive away. We would love to return!

A charming house, spacious facilities, and a large swimming pool for spending a few days relaxing as a family. We have had a great time and hope to do it again.

This is a beautiful little house at the centre of a traditional white village. It is situated on a tiny square with a tiny hermitage opposite within walking distance of several great value bars and restaurants as well as a couple of small supermarkets. It is well located for walking etc in the nearby natural parks or trips to Cordoba and Seville (don't miss the hidden gem that is Castille de Almodovar del Rio - the real life Highgarden from Game of Thrones!). The house itself is spotlessly clean, well equipped with a lovely courtyard garden and a great rooftop space for sunbathing or relaxing in the evening. And of course the jacuzzi spa is fabulous. The way it is set out (two pairs of double bedrooms separated by the living area) would make it comfortable for two families to share if they wanted. Though there is no dedicated parking, there are several spaces in the square and if these are full (2 out of 6 nights for us) there is a large free car park at the top of the hill just 2 minutes walk away, which is hardly used. The only slight problem (We liked this!) Is that you will probably be just about the only non Spanish in the village. Be prepared to use Google translate on menus etc, and to be a focus of intense interest to the village kids! Overall, extremely highly recommended for a relaxing retreat away from it all!

The house is perfectly prepared for your enjoyment and relaxation. We went for a weekend and came back with a refreshed mind, as if we had stayed a week. From the first moment, both Luis and Reyes made it easy for us to enjoy the house and the village. As for the facilities, the indoor jacuzzi, the views from the living room window towards the patio and the very high quality of the bed are worth mentioning. It's one of the best experiences we've had with an Airbnb, we'll definitely be back.

Nice house to spend a few days with friends and/or family. It has what it's specific. The views of it and the silence of the area make you disconnect and reset. It has direct access to the swamp through the back area of the patio, although the "path" there made us go back and choose another path through which to go to the swamp, because it is full of dog droppings. The house is fine, safe, quiet, you can stop inside the porch if the car is medium. Nearby there is a bar restaurant, Casa Pepe, where you can eat great and they attended very well. Overall very good. Very friendly host responds quickly. The person in charge of receiving us is also very friendly and responds very quickly. We would certainly repeat. Thank you!

If you want to disconnect and forget the world this is your place, magnificent stay in Diego's house, in the middle of nature without neighbors a luxury of place. You have everything you need to have a quiet vacation. Thank you very much to Diego and Mario for your attention.

If you're looking for peace of mind, it's perfect! You will hardly hear the few neighbors around you. The views are incredible. Everything very clean and clean. Maribel was very attentive, every time we needed to contact her, she would respond to us instantly. We had a great weekend.

We spent a week as a family. Large house with a large outdoor area to enjoy the pool and games. Very smooth communication with the owner. I recommend it.

We were very comfortable in the home. We are used to living in a house, but lately have been doing a lot of Airbnb apartments. It was nice to once again be in a house where we could be loud and spread out a little. The kids really enjoyed the ping pong table. Sara was very responsive throughout our entire stay. We loved her and her place. Note for people (like us) who do not usually stay in the mountains: it IS a mountain location so keep in mind that everything - including toilet paper - is thrown into the garbage rather than the toilet, and we did not drink the tap water, although we used it for everything else.

We loved the accommodation, with everything you need and more to be able to spend some great days at Villa Aljaral! Very well equipped everything, comfortable beds, very spacious common spaces and perfect to have a great time as a family or with friends. All very clean and nice, in an unbeatable setting both in the home and outside of it. Rocío was very helpful and friendly at all times. Thank you so much for everything, I hope to repeat!

Ana supported us at all times. It was for us because we had a problem with our GPS, but she supported us at all times. In addition to this, during our stay there was a problem with the washing machine and Ana supported us by providing a solution at the time... Thank you very much Ana, we hope to return someday...

Fantastic place surrounded by nature. Plenty of space to be in the living room and kitchen, and a large terrace to enjoy the barbecue. Highly recommended to spend a few quiet days with family or friends.

We enjoyed a great family week. Very spacious house, especially the kitchen and living room. The playroom was a lot of fun for the kids. Note that the house is in a residential development, so cars are frequently used. Recommended accommodation.

We had a great time at Amalia and Manuel’s cute cottage. It is just as beautiful as on the pictures and great, quiet getaway for a weekend in Cordoba. Highly recommend!
