Small Paradise above the Walensee

A beautiful old countryside home, lovely furnished in a paradise-like setting. The house is perfect for people who are looking to get a break from the big, loud world or would like to discover the beautiful Swiss mountains by foot. If you are coming by public transport you will need to hike one hour on a very beautiful hiking path (Weesen - Quinten). If you decide to come by car you will only need to hike 15min from the parking lot to the house. We highly recommend to wear good hiking shoes.

Cosy 1-room flat on the ground floor with separate entrance. Free parking. You will stay in our home in a quiet location with view to Mount Rigi, still close to Lucerne (20 mins by train/car), Zurich (50 mins car/75 mins by train). Closest highway connection is Buchrain. There's a Lidl supermarket. In our village COOP, as well as a bakery and lokal cheese shop nearby. The railway station is a 5-10 mins walk away. We look forward to welcoming you personally! Located on the edge of the Bettnau housing estate in 8854 Siebnen and at the foot of the Stockberg, the house offers an ideal opportunity for hikers and cyclists. The building is a solid single garden house with a Swedish stove. Barbecue and cooking facilities. Coffee machine and microwave are available. TV and radio can be used. Accessible by public transport. Free parking is available for your own car. No through traffic. Unfortunately, no dogs can be allowed.

Our paradise invites you to relax. The guest room and bathroom as well as the living room (where there is a small fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker and a kettle) are located in the attic with beautiful views of Lake Walen and the Churfirsten. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES Our cat also lives in the attic, which shares the bathroom and the living room. It has a parking in front of the house and a seating area with a fireplace. Your exclusive getaway with 360-degree views of Säntis/Lake Constance and yet so close to attractions such as St.Gallen/Appenzell. This 200-year-old Appenzell house towers high above Herisau AR and is lovingly called "GöttiFritz" by its owners. It shines authentically in a fantastic mountain and hill scenery – a true retreat for the soul.

Enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. Sleeping in the greenhouse means being very close to the plants. A good bed awaits you and a warm stove lets you comfortably enjoy the time you spend with us. The house in the greenhouse is very well insulated and has a nice large wood-burning stove and a small electric stove. The walls are open with many windows. For privacy, it has thick curtains everywhere.

Our guesthouse is next to our farm. It's in the countryside but only a 10-minute-drive away from Lucerne city. You've got a wonderful view of the mountain Rigi and mount Pilatus. It's a new and modern apartment with only one room and a lovely gallery. So it's an ideal place to stay for a couple or a small family (no separate bedroom!). In the bathroom there's a bathtub and a shower. You've got a good equipped kitchen.

We are also only a 3 minute drive to Unterterzen to spend a beautiful summers day at the Walensee.
