Pet-friendly Ryoma-an, the closest private home to Katsurahama Ryoma

HirokoRating, 5 stars6 days ago
I stayed with my family for 3 nights while visiting Shikoku. It was close to Katsura Beach, and it was easy to park, and I had a comfortable stay in a large house that even a large family could stay. The building reminded me of the good Showa era, and I felt like I was home.I felt that the landlord was very cared for. The futon was comfortably arranged, there were towels in the toilet and kitchen, there was a place to hang laundry, the dishes were seasoned, and I felt the thoughtfulness of the hospitality. Thanks to the weather, the weather was good, and we enjoyed the view of the sea from the balcony. We'd love to stay again if we get the chance.
A shaded wooden deck extends outdoors, featuring a smooth, light-toned surface. Lush greenery and a stone wall are visible in the background, providing a natural setting. A few decorative elements are present, including a large pottery piece placed to the right.

I took care of a family of three generations, eight people and two dogs, but the owner was very kind and the room and futons were very clean.I was happy to enter the front door and smell a nice aroma. It was also helpful to have amenities such as towels. It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach, and I went for a walk with my dog at night and in the morning, and the atmosphere is great. We were blessed with good weather, and the night sky was full of stars and the seven stars of the Big Dipper were beautiful! I definitely want to stay again when I go to Kochi!

The host was very responsive while I was querying some questions in the chat. Check-in was so smooth because he was welcoming us at the lodge and giving us instructions in person. I was so amazed when I heard his story that he built the lodge by himself during the pandemic. The lodge was pretty clean and cozy.

I used it as a graduation trip with my daughter and her friends from Kagawa Prefecture.A guest house that suddenly appeared in a quiet residential neighborhood. The entrance from the road was narrow, and I was nervous about big cars. The house was more spacious than I thought, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, which was very pleasant. The yogi bo and hammocks were so great that I couldn't move when I sat in them. You can spend time without getting bored even when you're staying at the accommodation, with a table that can be used as a ping pong table and a large screen projector. We arrived later than planned, but communication after check-in was smooth and they explained things politely. I visited on a slightly chilly day, but the room was warm and I had a relaxing time. At night, laughter and conversation from inside the room leaked out a little, and at a late hour, you may need to be a little careful about the neighbors even inside the room. The bathtub was tiled deep, so when I entered with a small amount of water, I was surprised when I was held against the wall that was not immersed in the water.I recommend using plenty of hot water. It was just girls, so in the morning we were all competing for the mirror...There were two mirrors, one in the bathroom and one next to the kitchen, but it would be fine if there were only a few people, but if there were a lot of people, we had to wait our turn. Also, it's just right for tall people to sit, but the mirror is a little low, so if you're standing, you have to bend over to see yourself. Is it difficult for men to use? I'd love to have a full-length mirror at the entrance. Did you tell me about a recommended bakery nearby? Unfortunately, I couldn't go because it was closed. I'd love to get revenge. There was a 24-hour supermarket right next door, so I had no trouble with food or daily necessities. It was only for one night, but I enjoyed it very much. For the children, the time spent with friends became a cherished memory, and they said they wished they could have stayed longer. Next time, I'd love to stay with my family and friends. Thanks for your hospitality.

Private waterfront vacation home for Family, sakura

AllisonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This place was awesome and even though I was a solo traveller I used all the rooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to make simple meals (even proper knives) and the bathroom/ shower was spacious and clean. Ryoko was a terrific host. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful in every way. This was the best value place I think I have ever stayed in, across 3 countries. If you do not cope well with steep stairs (about 10, I think) then you won't like this place. My legs got a good workout using them. Great views from the top floor. Many thanks.

Max 8 people [Vacation House Sameura]

JoseRating, 5 stars5 months ago
As a family of four, plus our German Shepherd, we had a wonderful time staying at Yunas place. The house is immaculately cleaned. All the amenities were great. The kitchen is fully stocked and that allowed my wife to cook up two meals for our family. We were met by Yuna and her partner who gave us a tour of the house and explained how to use the appliances and water in the bathroom as all the stuff is Japanese made. The snacks provided were a sweet touch. And we did enjoy fresh mint from the garden as tea. The surrounding area is great for walking and sightseeing nature. The house is private and the neighborhood is quiet.
